So you're asking people to look at stuff from sources they don't necessarily agree with - which is good advice - but then you condemn sources you yourself disagree with. Uh - okay.

Well, yeah. And there's been plenty of links from posters here proving that many Congressmen sleep in their residences while there. Heck, *I* slept in an office when I first started out as a drafter a long time ago, it's something a lot of beginning professionals have to do in many professions. Is Occasional Cortex above all that or something?

 

Try common sense. I gave you a solution to her problem, which she was too stupid to figure out. I am not conedming a woman for making a legitimate complaint. I condemned an idiot (not gender specific) for complaining about thinking her socialist ass is entitled to something that nobody else is entitled to and a solution she isn't willing to accept because the solution is beneath her but not beneath a good number of other politicans. Now, if you anything intelligent to offer then offer it but if all you have are idiotic platitudes and rhetoric to offer than I will just ignore it. I usually do that with idiotic rhetoric about gender and race based self indulgent entitlement. She can stay in her office, like a lot of other representatives. There are 435 other representatives that have figured out how to solve the problem. Nobody forced her to run for office. If she can't handle it she can resign.

You don't have to rent a brownstone in Georgetown to work on Capitol hill you know. There are poor folk all over DC. There is also MD and VA. The point is, she, and everyone else, can afford to live in the area, but perhaps not in the luxury she is expecting to. That is ironic, given that she is a socialist, and worthy of ridicule.

Pointing out the FACT (then backing said point with valid documentation) that a news "source" is blatantly biased or untrustworthy or both is not "condemning" . And once again for the cheap seats, Ocasio-Cortez said nothing that is not true or has not been previously stated/corroborated by senior congressmen. That Fox Noise jumps on that is just part of their basic style to discredit any and everyone that doesn't fit into the neo-con, tea party parameters.

 

You should try adhering to the first three words of your screed. Ocasio-Cortez pointed out a FACT echoed by SENIOR congressmen. She NEVER stated that she wouldn't sleep in her office or find other means to live close to her job. Fox Noise just did their usual yellow sheet journalism of being picayune and hyping that attitude to form a false conclusion that folk like you just lap up like thirsty dogs. What's funny is how you try to drape your parroting as some sort of pseudo-intellectual lesson for all to learn....but then, I do find humor in the pathetic. Carry on.

 

Dude, PAY ATTENTION! Senior congressmen who are pulling in damn good salaries sleep in their offices to avoid the sky high rent. Location is everything when their are 24/7 votes, meetings and such that can happen at anytime....location translates into faster response. Fox News reports on Ocasio Cortez becasue she is an overwhelming idiot. Need some examples. Here are some of her direct quotes.

1. Unemployment is low because everyone has two jobs.

2. ICE is the only criminal investigative agency, the only enforcement agency in the United States, that has a bed quota.

3. They [national Democrats] were campaigning most when we had more of an American middle class. This upper-middle class is probably more moderate but that upper-middle class does not exist anymore in America.

4. In a Koch brothers-funded study — if any study’s going to try to be a little bit slanted, it would be one funded by the Koch brothers — it shows that Medicare for all is actually much more, is actually much cheaper than the current system that we pay right now.

5. The reason that the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act is because they ruled that each of these monthly payments that everyday American make is a tax. And so, while it may not seem like we pay that tax on April 15th, we pay it every single month or we do pay at tax season if we don’t buy, you know, these plans off of the exchange.

 

And I would say you need to pay attention to your own first three words.

I've said often enough - although you likely haven't been on long enough to read these posts - that the media needs to be examined story by story, and that all sources need to be looked at carefully, which includes FOX. Now, the difference between me and you is when I put snark aside that I mistrust ALL news sources but look to each story to see what might be true - where you simply dismiss conservative/right-wing sources out of hand as noise.
