Why is this nonsense? Its fact from the ground. Most of my family where in the military during the 90s. No one stated that it is easy to down a cruise missile.

"New" and "smarter" meaning that subsonic Tomahawk cruise missiles can actually hit their targets unlike supersonic missiles that are traveling so fast they miss their intended targets.

The Tomahawk missiles were designed to be shot down.

The concept behind the Tomahawk missile was that a hundred Tomahawk missiles would be launched but 90% of the missiles would be decoys...no warheads.

The Soviets wouldn't know which Tomahawks had real warheads (nukes) and which Tomahawks were decoys.

President Trump representing the USA and the British and France sent a message to the world, chemical and biological weapons are a big NO NO and will not be tolerated.

Someday and hopefully so will nukes.

Sorry, but I'm not sure what's the point to launch decoys instead of real missiles? As anyway both missiles - decoy and a real one - fly to a target, what's the point to not use 90% of them?

 

Yes we know it is zero and the idiots shot their missiles off after our missiles had reach their targets and the targets that was hit was picked to only go after their ability to product more poison gas.

Sorry but the Russia/soviet military hardware is mainly worthless in any case as had been shown every time our hardware had gone up against theirs.

See the two gulf wars for an example of that fact with special regards to what did happen when our M1s would meet the soviet T-72.

 

like was said we don't know though it would be expected that the Syrians show some of the ones she brought down. That being said apparently the Brits had some concern about theirs getting through and Russia was not firing as her areas were not attacked. What this attack seems most likely of achieving is Russia providing Syria and others with better defence capabilities for when you next get started.

And if the U.S. Navy has eyes in the sky like a E-2 Hawkeye, those USN ships are going to have a warning and will put the stern of their ships facing the incoming threat making such a small target that supersonic anti ship missiles will miss their targets.
