    Well it would have spurred a lot of economic activity and lure in maybe more companies and bolstered small businesses as well. If housing and other issues were a concern why not plan and work how to channel all this economic impact into improving those areas instead of driving the company away and with it any chance of benefitting from them. But nope instead of intelligent planning and urban development policies using the economic engine of Amazon you drove them to go somewhere else that doesn't make sense to me.

    amazon's utility bills are offset to the local residents, iow amazon dont pay for their enormous, exhorbinate electric usage, it gets distributed to the ratepayers instead. rents go up, as well as other cist of living expenses, basically giving the people the same headache if not being able to save , rather just living paycheck to paycheck albeit at a higher salary... iow, no better off than before... the only two that make out are bezo & the state, all others stagnate in false prosperity...

    What was that average salary Amazon has promised to bring into the area... something over $115k/year? Very low for New York, they don't need this miserable insulting wage!

    I say, any red state will be happy to have Amazon and hopefully, tis is how it'll be.

    The amount of destruction she has caused now and over the course of 10-20 years is staggering. This fiasco will haunt her every day she is still in office.
