America never went away. When you start thinking of yourself as the 'real' America and everyone else isn't that is a bad way to go.
From a western European perspective, we are more than pleased to see some stability in the leadership of the USA with which we USED to share common understanding of what makes the world better place. And pleased to see a mentally ill joke leave like a criminal out the back door in like a 3 year old temper tantrum.
I am afraid you don't seem to see the USA from outside itself. Europe saw him fail badly when he withdrew from a global agreement to protect the very planet we all live on. He failed when he nearly destroyed the WTO. Who else would play around with the WHO in the teeth of a pandemic (oh I forgot, that was a hoax)? North Korea just laughed at him. Russia thought he was a failure because he didn't stick to the plan. China ran rings around him. Iran just moved out of his way and found another route. And Saudi appreciated his contributions in its genocidal plan in Yemen. Mr. Mock Mussolini was an abject failure as seen across his allies.
Your statements present no facts! These are nothing more than liberal opinions from which one would expect nothing less.
Is it not true that he buggered up the appeals process in the WTO, withdrew from the Climate Change international body, Iran made a side deal with Trump's allies to keep the deal on nuclear development he came out of, China didn't buckle under his ridiculous tariff war and his threats to upset EU/USA tariff agreements, withdrew support for the WHO, said the pandemic was a hoax... oh and I forgot...worst of all, insulted the Queen on a state visit the UK was absolutely against?
I'm not a big fan of sharing memes during debates, but everytime I read that sentence, I have to think to this meme :
Yes -- and the difference will be that next time Iran will have thermonuclear weapons sitting atop ICBM's. Wait and see.... Oh, and Iran will be comfortably protected within an envelope of security (veiled, of course) by both Russia and China. Wait and see....
I've never read that the Antichrist is supposed to be an embarrassingly senile, docile machine-politician. . "...and I'll bet you never read that the Antichrist has teats, either...."
It went on Trump's foul MAGA path, but fortunately only for 4 years. Then the voters saved their country.
Huhhh....and us Republicans are constantly accused of being "cult" members here.....Let the doey eyes and fawning begin.
Putin's got bigger problems than Joe Biden right now, and long term, he's got the revived United States government to deal with. Unlike the last administration, it's not about one man. Putin's history is irrelevant to how we deal with him. The new POTUS isn't afraid to tell him to kiss his ass, unlike the last one. And Biden's been appearing almost daily; giving speeches and answering questions from the press. He's more active publically than Trump ever was. These "can't put on his diaper" licks are getting old and silly.
Nobody said America wasn't real. Biden is saying we're back on the world stage with our allies. America is back from America 1st isolationism.
Nothing liberal about it imo. Environmentalism and appeals to consensus are not liberal ideas, they are collectivistic.
Thank you for helping to underscore a VERY important vulnerability in our understanding of what's REAL in the 21st-century world, and what's NOT. Your comment, "Putin's history is irrelevant to how we deal with him" is VERY instructive! Keep on underestimating and misunderstanding a man like Vladimir Putin and all you're doing is 'tying one hand behind your own back'.... It's obvious you know little about Putin besides bio-snippets you have seen on MSNBC, CNN, et al, so I will suggest you start with: https://www.amazon.com/Putin-Chris-Hutchins/dp/1780881142 It's over nine years old, but it will be useful in constructing a relatively accurate, bullshit-free view of one of the two more intelligent leaders in the world. Hint: the other one is China's Xi Jinping....
