So you're not going to comment on the meat of the post, you just cut out the tag line leaving no context for people who come after. Well here, everyone, let me copy/paste what mentor56 was quoting and ignoring when he chose to respond to me.

Did you missed the part where Pres Biden intends to re-engage a nuclear arms treaty that can only benefit Russia? If you did you probably also missed when a reporter asked Pres Biden what he talked about on his first call with Putin and Joe snarked "you" then was hastily rushed out of the room by staffers who only later released a statement (not a transcript) about the conversation.

But, yea, sure, why not, people can believe the fantasy that Pres Biden will "stand up to Putin". I'm sure we'll see evidence of that any day now. The SolarWinds hack has basically fallen out of all media consciousness even though a second entirely different hack just occurred and, surprise surprise, it was also state sponsored this time China's fingerprints are all over it. When do you imagine we can the Biden Administration formally denounce Russia and China for their roles in the single greats security breach America has ever known?

Given the mess Bush made there you may well be right.

Lol @ Biden and his crew proclaiming all this victory after 15 days in office.

It's like they're trying to not be taken seriously.

The squeakiest wheel is always noticed.

The overwhelming majority of Americans didn't feel Trump was anything you explained, but maybe voted for Joe as a better candidate.

No no no. The mess AIPAC made (intentionally to further destabilize the region to intervene periodically). Bush was just a useful idiot. You think he cooked all that up on his own? Not a chance.

I'm not surprised that you don't understand the concept, since you're an advocate of a man whose entire concept of government makes Pol Pot look like FDR. Suffice it to say that one of their major functions is to "speak truth to power" and Trumpers see any disagreement with the Dear Leader as treason most foul.

The Russians are content for now to build their economy and their military, all in a loose, mutually-beneficial alliance with China. They've got a sweet deal in-hand with the Germans (and thus, the EU) involving natural gas sales via the pipelines, and they're actually pretty happy right now. They've got a vaccine that works, and they're showing every sign of being able to come out of this pandemic in as good shape as any other country in the world.

They don't want a 'war' with us or anyone else, but if I know anything about Russians, I know this -- although many Russians are skeptical, morose, fatalistic, and cold, they are able to endure great hardship, misery, many setbacks, and overwhelming odds itself when they think that their "Rodina" ('Mother Russia') is being threatened.

If they think that some other country is threatening their existence or their rights as Russia, there is literally no telling what they might do, and I, for one, would not want to find out, either. I've already been as close to any "Russian" situation like that as I was required to be, and I wouldn't want to repeat it. 'Nuff said....

Oh, by the way, while Obama was farting around running our whole government with a 'pen-and-phone' during his wonderous second term in office, Putin stood-up an entirely new Russian military organization in December 2014 called The Northern Fleet Joint Strategic Command -- the "Arctic Command". It is now very organized, built-out, supplied, and capable of projecting undisputed power throughout MUCH of the Earth's northern polar region.

But, yes, do "feel safe"... for now.... Ol' Joe Biden and his radical, hyperliberal, America-hating Democrats 'have your back'.... :omg:

What makes the world a better place, the US defending you or you taking on more responsibility for it? How about let's take back all the peace agreements he managed in the ME, NK when did Europe manage to bring peace anywhere? How about we take all the pressure off Iran which is about to fall on it's knees and force a change of leadership, let's let the have free reign again? And of course I'm sure you look forward to the US kowtowing to back to the Paris Accords so you can catch up to us economically when we strangle ourselves.

The purpose of American foreign policy is not to seek the approval of other nations who act solely in their own special interest. Our trade policies are not to make YOU wealthier it is to protect OUR trade and economy just like you. And we will do what we need to do to protect our vital interest and national security.

That is what Trump brought and while I could not stand the man personally he did more for my country in his four years than the last three Presidents and especially Biden and his VP he put in charge of so much.

What happened to the "I've got 47 years of experience, I know how it all works, I have my PLANS, I will hit the ground running on the first day!!!!!!" Now all we get is "We'll have to circle back on that" and "The President is going to establish a commission to tell him what to do" and "We're having conversations about that" and "We're talking with experts on that".

Just amazing and then when he does show up somewhere and gives a policy speech they run him off stage, he will not take question from the press. And his press spokesperson pre-screens the questions she will take.

Yeah, here comes "Obama 2.0" -- a reckless, ruinous, bankrupting plunge into 'neo-socialism'. Enjoy the ride down because the impact when we hit rock-bottom will be impressive....

"What do parasites suck on after they've sucked all the blood out of the host?" :cynic: In four years, we may get to find out!

    Where do you put this?
Somewhere between COVID and a collapsing economy?

There'll be plenty new red lines in the sand, you can count on these. Just as meaningless, as the red lines 8 years ago.

You can thank sleepy Joe for that - he’s been in power for 2 weeks now and the economy should be brilliant by now.

    He's just humble.
He could remind you every time the rights measurement of the economy hits a new high.
