I can name three...Number of incarcerated citizens per capita, number of adults who believe angels are real and defense spending, where we spend more than the next seven largest military budgets combined.

 

America's relative wealth means even the poorest among us are obese, diabetic/heart diseased slobs. in other words, it's intellectually dishonest to blame America's healthcare system for America's life-expectancy ranking.

Opioid crisis? four-plus million miles of roadways and 250 million vehicles? these things also contribute to America's longevity statistics.

 

I mea there’s obviously other facts at play there but it’s still disappointing that a nation people boast as being the greatest in the world doesn’t ever crack the top 10 best in a lot of categories.

We know for sure we are not the highest per capita GDP in the world. Nor are we the happiest population in the world. Nor do we have the best healthcare outcomes. So what are we the best in. I don't give a s*** about income gaps I don't know about life expectancy and I don't see why that makes a country better. It's easy to manage your debt when you don't pay for your defense.

That's cause we have the fattest poor people in the world. Giving people the easy life because of capitalism doesn't have to do with how our health care works. You can tell people they are fat and need to lose weight all day long at the doctors office, its still up to the individual to make the life style changes needed to live longer. When it comes down to it, our emergency room care and cancer survival rate is much better than living in the UK or EU and dying on the waiting list to be seen or waiting on surgeries and chemotherapy.

 

The proper measure is GDP per capita.

You have no more freedoms in America than in most European countries.Exactly how successful our military??How many wars have we been on the clear winning side since WW2??We were the worlds predominant country after WW2 as Europe slowly rebuilt itself after the devastation of WW2.From 1945-1975 we were clearly superior, since then we have faded badly.We had a great interstate highway system which we now can no longer maintain,our cities now have over 00 year old sewer systems and water systems we can no longer upgrade and maintain,same is true of our airports,ports and infrastructure in general.Our healthcare and medical is by far the highest priced in the world while being far from the best.
