Support the highlighted statement. I think you will find an error in your statement. The majority, as in a large majority, of the nut jobs who felt the need to orchestrate a mass shooting, gave many warning signs.

By participating in worker owned and/or controlled production as much as possible. By avoiding capital controlled production as much as possible.

A practicing socialist takes concrete actions. This contrasts with “socialists” that talk about how workers are getting screwed but don’t do anything quantifiable to change or influence that.

It also contrasts with “socialists” who pretend taking capitalism’s largess away from capitalists and giving it to those who have invested neither capital or labor in production is “socialism”.

A practicing physician is actively involved in protecting and restoring health. A practicing socialist is actively involved in worker owned/controlled production of goods/services.

??? I work for and have ownership of my business, but we call it capitalism. And I bet you purchase goods from "capital controlled production" on a regular basis. Modern technology of production requires lots of capital. Worker owned and/or controlled production works fine on a small scale providing simple products or services. Not so much if you want to manufacture automobiles or computers, or any product on a large scale.

Do you have employees? Do you purchase electricity from consumer/employee owned and democratically controlled utility? A majority of the products I purchase for use in my business (that has no employees) come from worker/customer owned and democratically controlled businesses.

You are correct it’s nearly impossible to do all business with other worker owned/controlled businesses. But most people don’t realize over 20% of workers are working as part of a worker owned/controlled business and that percentage is growing.

Sure it would be difficult to compete with auto manufacturing at entry level. That’s one of the consequences of monopolies government supports/creates through regulation.

If someone were to describe themselves as a vegetarian but ate jello or took a vitamin E caplet would you deny they were a vegetarian?

A practicing socialist doesn’t let perfect be the mortal enemy of good. I’m sure you are aware what you call capitalism is not anywhere near pure capitalism, right? But you refer to it as capitalism and to those participating as capitalists anyway.

Hell I'd buy worker owned products if they were superior.

I’ve recently seen PF members say they shop at Publix because of the exceptional facilities and service. It is one of the largest worker owned companies.

Over 20% of workers in the US are part of one form of worker owned/controlled businesses or another so you likely buy many products of worker owned/controlled businesses. And the numbers are growing.

Yes it is. That’s the key. You nailed it! FREE market. The more free the market is to accommodate all business models the better. If a business wants to be worker owned/controlled there should not be onerous regulation preventing it. If a business wants to be more capital based it should be able to pursue that.

One reason people are fleeing California is the inability to pursue business in a free market. You notice from the above post Publix is not trying to expand into CA. :)
