Bush bailed out the auto industry
The Individual mandate is a republican idea.

despite his assocations, he migh as well be a republican.

measure him by his actions, not his words.

Regean cut capital gains and income taxes in 81, after a loss in revenue and a sharp climb in the deficit he raised taxes on ciggeretes, gasoline, and payroll (middle class). He wouldnt allow anyone to touch captial gains or income (which the wealthiest of americans bennifit most from). To further make up for his deficit, he became the first president to prove deficits dont matter if you can raid social secuirty (middle class).

    So you see.

He was a great Redestruibter and a fine socialist.

Thats cause youre not telling the truth.

In point of fact, this assertion is completely untrue. Federal revenues were $599.3 billion in fiscal year 1981 and were $991.1 billion in fiscal year 1989. That’s an increase of just 65 percent.

Any deficit created by Reagan was from Spending money to build the US military into what it is today, and bankrupting the communist Soviet Union, and ending the cold war.

Hes nothing like Obama in any way shape or form.

Regeans defense spending was also only 5%-6% of GDP during his administration but the debt/GDP easily grew 20% by the mid 80s. Cold War spending can hardly account for all of that. What can is Regeans borrowing due to the fact that his cuts on income/capital gains never produced enough revenue to justify the cuts and forced us to borrow.

Federal Revenue as a whole rised, but that's attributed to the recovery from 10% unemployment and his increased taxes on the middle class who where begining to join the work force.

There are others such as the letters of Jack London which show that socialism was intended to benefit the wealthy. The writings of conservative Anthony Sutton do a great job of proving that point. There's no question that many on the right are duped into thinking that wealthy socialists do not finance the enemies of America. But history proves otherwise.

You have got to be kidding me.....:confuse:

    You're offering historical facts?

Next thing, you'll offer a dictionary definition of "socialism" or sumpn' like that.

The definition of "socialism" is as follows:

    Socialism, noun

    1. a:Any tax increases that occur during a Democratic presidential administration. b: Any tax cuts, or lack of increases or cuts, that occur during a Democratic presidential adm

    2. Any legislation with a fiscal component proposed, supported, or passed by Democrats, especially Barak Obama

    3. Any government regulation that is enacted during a Democratic administration.

    4. Anything Barak Obama does, or has done, in his entire life, personal and professional.

I'm simply exposing your ignorance. You made a baseless assertion, and you can't even define it, nor provide examples to support your assertion.

we both know why you can't.

yes. that already has been explained away.

That's all taxes. capital gains and income didnt do as well, raising FICA and other taxes did. it's all explained here.

plus the public debt rose from $712 billion in 1980 to $2,052 billion in 1988.

"A bill will be presented to the Congress for action next year. It will include an across-the-board, top-to-bottom cut in both corporate and personal income taxes. It will include long-needed tax reform that logic and equity demand ... The billions of dollars this bill will place in the hands of the consumer and our businessmen will have both immediate and permanent benefits to our economy. Every dollar released from taxation that is spent or invested will help create a new job and a new salary. And these new jobs and new salaries can create other jobs and other salaries and more and more growth for an expanding American economy."
