Prove that Americans weren't pissed about attacks on those other embassies and consulates? You really think no one cared?

 

Whenever Hillary haters want to establish their objectivity, all they need to do is distinguish their current obsession from their attitudes toward each of the above, or document their comparable outrage at all of the above.

Of course, they could also belatedly indict Powell and Rice if they need to pretend theirs is not a blatantly partisan agenda.

Otherwise, "Benghazi" just being the "Birther's" methadone pertains.

They didn't have to admit anything. Just say there was an organized unprovoked attack by unknown parties on our consulate.
An investigation is underway to find out who what and why while we mourn the loss of our ambassador.

 

I think that would have been better, but they may have been too afraid reporters would latch to the full truth once pointed in the correct direction.

They were running Operation Zero Footprint at that time arming the Syrian rebels and it is suspected the Ambassador also worked for the CIA. The 'consulate' was not listed as anything in official documents. The military did not know it was going on because this went against their recommendations so could be one of the reasons for little coordination with the military from the WH.

 

At no time did Bush or Obama say we would not go back to take care of business if needed. So, they could have made it clear that if further military action is needed. So be it.

Pushing the video story for the weeks leading up to the election when evidence clearly showed it was a coordinated, planned attack is misleading. That's the scandal. Not the CIA operation or the reason Stevens was in Benghazi. I'm good with all of that. What I'm not good with is having the WH and State lie to the American public for self-serving reasons; i.e. the election.

In the case of the OP, we now have further cover-up to protect Clinton's chances of election in 2016.

I have no problem with military or intelligence operations and the need to classify such operations. What I have a problem with are politicians who spin the facts for their own needs, not the needs of the nation.

Spinning Benghazi to protect President Obama's chances for reelection is an example of this type of deplorable action.

I never suggested that the series of Benghazi-like outrages during the Bush years had not been distressing for the American public.

Prove that there was, in each comparable instance, a cadre of Secretary of State critics as wee wee'd up as one is now about the most recent instance of a lethal terrorist attack on an overseas American installation.

Weirdest thing. this story leads on the front page of Fox. Not to be found on WSJ, CSM or CNN. WEIRD, or maybe they want to vertify a story before they run with it. Guess Fox isnt burdened by such formalities.

 

Fox is what it is. The American version of Rupert Murdock's successful conservative pseudo journalism news networks. The Aussies got theirs earlier than we did.

That aside...Benghazi has zero traction outside of righty media. Fox and GOP congresspeople have cried wolf far too many times.
