I lived in a black neighborhood/apartment complex for 3 damn years. So yeah, I lived like a "black".... Blacks aren't oppressed and whatever trouble they find themselves in they bring it on themselves. Yeah, when I was a punk ass gangbanger I would get harassed all the time by cops - what? do you really believe blacks deal with different issues? yeah well they don't.... It has nothing to do with being black and everything to do with embracing a certain lifestyle and drawing attention to ones self... Yeah, cops are going to harass anyone that's driving a 1990 Chevy Caprice on 20'' daytons with a gold grill in his mug - you know why that is? because that's how gang bangers dress. You don't see black professionals showing up to business meetings in ghetto ass cars with gold in their mouth sagging their pants. Anyone who pulls that nonsense will be profiled. Not to mention blacks have it way better than whites because blacks are entitled to policies such as affirmative action but even that doesn't work because blacks enjoy living in the ghetto - it makes no damn sense whatsoever. Even when they do have a damn education and make good money where do they live? the (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) ghetto. They make life difficult for themselves and then blame their problems on everyone else. Oppression isn't the problem, racism isn't the problem, bias isn't the problem - their ghetto culture is the damn problem! Here is something interesting. Why the hell do blacks consistently segregate themselves? oh yeah because to them their Afrocentric culture is the only damn thing that matters - they create their own little world for themselves - few blacks have any interest living among other races and the ones that do are perfectly fine. That's the way it is. Here is a better question - why don't blacks try to live like non-blacks? oh yeah I forgot because if they did and when they do they are called "Uncle Toms" and "wannabe white folk" if they do. Name one that's not (*)(*)(*)(*)ing true? 85% of blacks embrace afrocentric culture and "hood culture" and the other 15% that don't are constantly harassed by other blacks for not being "black". Also, I'm getting sick of peppy progressives that try to imply that black ghetto culture is as rare as a unicorn - when it's (*)(*)(*)(*)ing everywhere and can easily be found..... You know people are capable of making observations, unfortunately I have observed nothing positive about black communities. Around where I live the black neighborhood ie "ghetto" is where everything is screwed up... Gangs, shootings, crime etc oh yea and the (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) streets are a mess with rubbish everywhere. And NO I have never seen a "middle class" or "upper class" black neighborhood.... I have seen blacks live in these communities but they're not "black communities".. Sorry it's basic observation and it's negative. It is a nonsensical question that actually has no connection to reality as a person would have to abandon exactly their entire life to just instantly be someone else. But explain your theory. How would a person's life change?

JakeJ, I AM a woman. I'm not a quadriplegic. So, yes, it would be a big adjustment for me to live life paralyzed from the neck down. The point I am trying to make is: Would a White person be willing to live for a year without White priviledge. Would you be willing to walk in a Black person's shoes to see what their reality is? Would you?
