Hello Ulyanov! Thank you for your response. Let me take a look at Doug's post if I can find it....still learning to navigate. I have studied fascism for decades. The best books on fascist IMO are.... The Nazi Hydra In America, Glen Yeadon & John Hawkins, 1999-2008 (I am re-reading this book. I would read this one first. 600 pages plus, and very cheap. Extremely good! The Anatomy of Fascism by Robert O. Paxton, 2004 The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by William Shirer , 1960 Orwell: An Age Like This, Vol. 1 of III 1920-1940 edited by Sonia Orwell, 1968 One Dimensional Man, Herbert Marcuse, 1964 Negations: Essays In Critical Theory, Marcuse, 1968. Note that Marcuse has an interesting essay on how the concept of "fuhrer" is modeled on the concept of the industrial entrepreneur. The Origins of Totalitarianism, Hannah Arendt, 1951 Marcuse believed that the seeds of fascism could be found in the Capitalist Democratic Liberal State, which over time mutate as Monopoly Capitalism gain control of the State as in the case of Germany. The evolution of Capitalism is also a concealed “dialectic of fascism.” Those mutated liberal democratic ideas and values are betrayed by a totalitarianism based on action and force. I recently wrote a post on Hitler and Nazism that draws a connection with current events here.
To be perfectly honest I have a hard time seeing White nationalists. Some people see him under every Rock and around every corner but I just don't so I suspect their numbers are very few
Lol....this is EXACTLY what the left has been doing for decades except they don't outright call people enemies, they phrase it so people are victims and then go on to tell them who's victimizing them which makes them the enemy. Blacks: Victims Hispanics: Victims Refugees: Victims Illegals: Victims Muslims: Victims Women: Victims Gays: Victims Poor people: Victims
Wait, you claim that ‘the left’ is ‘exactly’ like our view of the right, but then contradict yourself by adding a qualifier “except” which means it isn’t exact. From a contradiction, any conclusion whatsoever can be derived. This is just a clumsy attempt at projecting your own motives and actions to other persons. But putting that aside you committed yet another error. Even if what you said were true, it wouldn’t make labeling true or right. The “Two Wrongs Make a Right” fallacy applies here. Look it up. Secondly, a person that victimizes another is by definition the ‘enemy’ of the victim. The victimizer is the enemy whether the victim knows it or not. You are simply arguing a tautology like “All circular are round.” Thirdly, you have not given any concrete historical examples of your claims of the Left which is itself completely undefined. In addition, you are ignoring the long history of the fascist right claiming racial Arian superiority, i.e., Henry Ford's eugenic theories.
Oh, here is a picture of Henry Ford with his Nazi friends. Henry Ford receiving the Grand Cross of the German Eagle from Nazi officials, 1938 Ford was also know for claiming that the Jews were the enemy of all Western societies.
During the struggle against Nazism in WWII, euphemistically referred to here as “White Nationalism,” some 70 million causalities were suffered worldwide. We see the rise of fascism all across Europe today-- the same sh**t, but a different a**hole this time. Yes, there really is a bogeyman.
yeah it is just that the new fascism is the darling of the left. funny how it is the left that is shrill about fighting it. seems they protest too much
You have just stated a thesis, where is the evidence? Drive-by posts are meaningless. Let's not be lazy. Crafting ad hominem arguments means you really have no argument at all. -- “...a Christian society would be what we now call Leftist.”- Theologian C.S. Lewis wrote in his book, Mere Christianity, p. 80.
"where is the evidence?" https://www.dailywire.com/news/20343/timeline-antifa-violence-january-–-august-2017-frank-camp
LOL, The guys wearing the swastikas and weird symbols are the fascists, the ones dressed in black are antifascists.
"the ones dressed in black are antifascists" What is an antifascist? How can a fascist be antifascist? If a fascist calls himself antifascist, are we to imagine that there's a difference? Please don't ask me to engage in such silliness.
"How can a fascist be antifascist?" You are committing the fallacy of petitio principii...silliness indeed. I will leave you to figure it out.
The left is who is locking people up for tweets and speech. The left is who is saying noisy can have a knife.
Where' Mello Guy? You'd think he'd have something to say about how the poor guy with the pipe was taken advantage of by the unarmed supposed victim that turned things around. I don't think that that Antifa dude will be back for trying to inflict more violence
