Anyone Here Listen To Talk Radio?

Excellent description of talk radio these days.

 

I listen to Mark Levine and to a program called "Redeye" that comes on from midnight till 4am.
Mark Levine makes me laugh. The "Redeye" program is good background noise for sleep.
They are both conservative talk radio programs.

 

NPR is not liberal in the political ideology vein. NPR is too far to the promiscuous left when it comes to sexual orientation. NPR has never met a homosexual, lesbian, or trans sexual that it did not give excess time to or excess and exposure to. Our local NPR station has a lesbian on who once had a daily show. She did have a political show on once a week or so which could have been ok if she could have found a real conservative as a balance. They took away her daily show but let her keep her snooty tutti fruiti foodie show once a week.

There are other shows that had at least tried to balance a conservative and a liberal if it was about politics. The liberals are not flames and the conservatives are extreme either. I mean not Fox News type or Michael ( Savage or Reagan) or Laura.

If anyone things that NPR will have gebonees such as Savage or a Rush as their "conservative" forget it.

I do not believe that Rush, Savage or some other RW mouths are really conservatives. They are just blow hards who have the ignorant fooled into thinking that they are conservatives.

Years ago before same sex "marriage" was allowed here this woman on NPR claimed that she got married in Canada. She kept interjecting antidotes about her "spouse" as she called her same sex partner. " My spouse this my spouse that". If I was listening or had NPR on in the background I would hit the change button or off button the second Miss "spouse" came on.

This woman sickened me so much with her "my spouse this my spouse that" to a point that I only listen to Science Friday on NPR now. The Car Talk show was great but one of the brothers decided to die so that show closed up.

PS you want go hear crazy assed whackadoodle liberal forget NPR and stumble into Pacifica. My alma mat college station has them. Talk about out in Jupiter somewhere.

I have no idea whether they are conservatives or merely play them on the radio.

I've heard both heterosexual and homosexual hosts occasionally refer to their spouses. It usually merits mention within the context of the discussion and does not distract from the topic for me.

I'm not interested in hyper-partisan opinion radio of any flavor. It is not reportage, and merely exploits the work or real journalists when not promoting blatant crackpot conspiracy paranoia.

 

Yeah I forgot all about Car Talk.I used to revel on their Saturday
morning show.I am amazed how time flies and one forgets about
the Good Old days.Which weren't always that old.Car Talk was
a treasure.I see where Sirius Radio has a Car Talk channel { 122 }.
I Need to look into that.About the only thing NPR offered that wasn't
sickeningly routine.

 

What propaganda? I listen to Rush on occasion. When he says something major I research --- never take anything for granted. Even though he is up front an opinion guy, I've never found anything he says to be misleading. On the other hand, radical outlets like CNN or MSNBC portray themselves as being 'news' while they skew the news they do report and censor news that doesn't support their viewpoint. There is only one viewpoint across all radical leftist outlets, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC. I've heard many montages of these radicals addressing notable events and they all use the same words as though a chief radical was scripting the whole radical media establishment messaging.

 

You seem to have a lack of understanding of both market ratings as well as owner decisions. Especially as you noted it was an extremely blue area. Why would you expect that conservative shows would hold significant ratings in such a liberal area?

 

That's because you aren't listening to the right talk radio. Try to go more local instead of nationality syndicated.

 

Expect Nothin' less than what happened to Air America.

Which explains why guys like Joe Scarborough and Rachel Maddow
aren't doing Radio any longer.Scarborough hosted a syndicated talk radio
show { along with sidekick Mika Brzezinski } called - The Joe Scarborough Show -.

They are no different than Rush. They cater to their audience. So they can sell advertising.

I tried to listen to liberal talk radio when they launched "Air America" but being a left wing talk radio it crashed before ever getting airborne.
