Maybe illegal immigrants have access to c-4 and tanks but I don't think so.

They probably don't, but the people who make a living off trafficking illegals across the border probably could get access to explosives.

Good for you. Won't stop everybody but will stop many if not most.

All the more reason to secure our border

That's circular reasoning. The wall we built to secure our border is vulnerable to explosives, so we need to secure our border using a wall vulnerable to explosives.

    What?

I spent a great deal of my adult life doing construction and satellite technician work. I have seen many brave men turn into crying cowards at heights of 28-40 ft, the typical extension ladder height.

You said the walls vulnerable to explosives not me. I'm just commenting on your assertion that smugglers could easily access C-4.

When I was younger one of my jobs was climbing trees and topping them to hang rigging for yarder logging. I can't tell you how many men over the years I saw try to move up to this high paying job but just couldn't do it due to what happens to minds over 30 feet or so. I have climbed up several times to help get these guys down after they froze.

And you're the one asserting that military grade explosives are required to breach the wall. Explosives of all kinds are typically very good at destroying things. Until the wall is tested and shown to be resistant to that method it's fair to assume that, like most walls, it is vulnerable.

I would really like to know why they didn't test it with explosives. It seems too obvious to have been an oversight.

Even if explosives are used, that means there's one hole in the wall and not 2,000 miles of open space to cross. Then all of the people who want to cross illegally would have to travel to that hole and probably be met by our border patrol once they get there.

This wall, by it's mere existence, will deter people from trying to come here and possibly and probably save lives and reduce human trafficking in which those being trafficked are often subject to rape, robbery and even murder. This wall is a humanitarian effort, think of it that way. How do you guys phrase it...Oh...'if it saves just one life'

If you read the link you'd see that these walls are heavy gage steel see through steel structures. That kind of stuff is extremely difficult to just blow up. Can be done but a good wall will definitely impede border crossing and the fewer they get through the wall the easier they are to round up in the desert.

A 35 foot ladder would not be tall enough for the angle and would be very easy to detect coming given how many people would have to carry it. Even if it worked, it would increase the allowed response time by border patrol a million times over compared to just taking one step across the border.

It is clear that the Democratic Party wants to line our border with heavily armed storm trooper ready at an instant to rush and arrest people who take 1 step across the border, hoping people get killed out of this so they can rant about it.

Wow, you claim you are more skilled that military commandos. Maybe you should change your name to Rambo since apparently you claim that's who you are. :roflol:

Never claimed that, as you are fully aware. Stop being dishonest.

I want to know why they didn't test it. If you don't have an answer just admit it or keep silent.

Ok, I am an ex-US Army infantryman, and a breech team specialist. I can tell you that if it can be breached, these guys would have breached it. That's all you really need to know.

At least you admit there are terrorists with explosives crossing the border, proving the extreme urgency to secure the border.

Explosives are not silent or invisible when set off. In my opinion, anyone trying to cross the border using explosives powerful enough to blow open a concrete wall should be open fired upon by machine guns, aircraft or every other way possible to kill that or those terrorists.

See its posts like this that make me extremely nervous because it implies far more national resources being devoted to this issue than just the construction of a wall.

For example, you say we will detect illegals approaching the TWO THOUSAND MILE LONG border wall with a ladder. How? Are we going to task satellites to watch it? That's both expensive and impractical as combing 2000 miles is not as easy as it seems.

Or will we just line the entire wall with guards? Sounds like as deeply boring job that will cost the taxpayer a boatload of money.

The practicality of this idea is degrading. The cost just keeps increasing and nobody can guarantee any idea so far will be very effective.
