It's not the Dem. It will be the American public who will feel the repercussion in term of lost jobs and they will force baby Trump to cry uncle.

Samsung's phones are not made in China? They are not made in the USA, at all.

Didn't Trump say they were not manipulating their currency? Did he lied?

You are implying that Apple is lying about the financial harm imposed to their company by a slowdown in China.

We have such geniuses in our country, thinking that the sampling here on a politicalforum is somehow representative of the entirety of this country. Even I'm not dumb enough to truly think the creeps here amount to more than the sleazy people on the fringes.

So them not buying our good hurt our economy ? When is any country required to buy US products ? China is very protective of their own economy as they should be. Hell, you are currently all in favor of the US doing just that thru Tariffs, but when China does it their hurting the US ?

They arent dumping “below cost steel” on the US economy. Below US cost is not “below cost’ steel. State owned and subsidized companies.....hmmmm, who else does that ? Oh wait, I know.....WE DO !

And this idea that China is hurting america by not enforcing US laws on technology and media patents is ludicrous. They arent laws there, so they don’t have to enforce the rights of foreign ownership. And because they dont enforce them that doesnt effect the US economy because their is no guarantee of sale n the first place.

I think hes far better than you think he is.

Is the new NAFTA the largest trade deal ever made?

    I think it might be.

I think hes done an excellent job of keeping jobs here, stimulating the economy, and getting people more money. Its not all roses, if it were that easy, itd have been done already...

But as much as it may not feel good, others are hurting far worse than us. Those people make for good trade partners.

Agree but he's not going to fix it. Those jobs are never going back to America. They don't pay well and Americans won't do them. Even if they did go back to the US the wages would be so high that Apple wouldn't sell the more expensive products that would result anywhere. The outcome would be that the jobs that do pay well, that Americans will do and are educated for, the high tech and designer jobs, would disappear. America's future isn't in the factory. It's in the far more advanced careers that are the future of industry.

if he wants to fix this, why did he give them a huge corporate tax break as a reward for the offshoring? As predicted, a hundred billion off this windfall went straight into stock BuyBacks of Apple. The rosy predictions of jobs coming back to the US, however, did not materialize. Neither did the predictions of prices being reduced due to the corporate tax windfall.

Trade should be a win-win, not lose lose. I thought our self-proclaimed economic experts on the right on this forum would know this.

Hmm, so Apple is too big to fail eh?

China’s economy has been slowing down for some time because it is no longer a developing nation.
