Wow! So you think you discovered a flaw in a peer-reviewed study published in the most prestigious Medical Journal in the world? Quick! Write them and become famous overnight!

But... here's the bad news. The study indicates 10 different categories that were defined in another paper and which include ... suicides. [Insert sad trombone here]

Sorry. But scientists aren't as dumb as you seem to think.

Unavoidable! Yes! How do you avoid people celebrating their candidate won? It's not like an event that is planned, to which people are invited and transportation is provided... like Trump's Covid Infection Parties. Or are you proposing that they send police squads to gas them?

You keep adding to your word count in this argument, but you still have not in any way, shape, or form proved that the numbers of COVID deaths are people who have died from COVID, as opposed to people who have died with COVID. I have quoted a spokesperson, not some rando, who has explained the methodology for counting COVID deaths from at least one state, Oregon, a liberal haven, whereas you post peer-viewed articles that have nothing to do with the point that you are trying to make, but argue that they do.

Don't celebrate. Stay home. If you take this virus seriously, literally stay home. Not hard. Not impossible.

A few months ago in New York, Bill de Blasio threatened people with arrests if they participated in large gatherings. The catalyst for this threat was when de Blasio literally broke up a Jewish funeral in which most of the participants wore masks. But de Blasio was having none of it.

“Something absolutely unacceptable happened in Williamsburg tonite: a large funeral gathering in the middle of this pandemic,” the mayor said in one post. “When I heard, I went there myself to ensure the crowd was dispersed. And what I saw WILL NOT be tolerated so long as we are fighting the Coronavirus.”



Fast forward, and de Blasio is taking selfies, celebrating with those who were celebrating the Biden win.



But he's not a hypocrite, right? You'll defend him, and you'll continue to defend those who participated in that large celebration during this pandemic.

 

Really.

 

If your quarantined because of disease then you can't take the chance, at least not without a thorough exam and testing.

It only gets worse.

The U.S. restrictions that took effect Feb. 2 continued to allow travel to the U.S. from China’s Hong Kong and Macao territories over the past five months. The Associated Press reported that more than 8,000 Chinese and foreign nationals based in those territories entered the U.S. in the first three months after the travel restrictions were imposed.

Additionally, more than 27,000 Americans returned from mainland China in the first month after the restrictions took effect. U.S. officials lost track of more than 1,600 of them who were supposed to be monitored for virus exposure.

On the converse side, millions of Americans are being ruined economically due to shutdowns and you don't give a damn. I know people who have committed suicide over the past year due to the government lockdown.... those people do not exist to people like you. This is what makes Democrats so dangerous, if given the chance they will implement a federal level shutdown, cede the world's economy to China and cause poverty on an unprecedented scale (while pushing the stock market to new heights). If Biden attempts a lockdown (especially in the presence of a vaccine), I think there will be a general revolt.

People who cede fundamental liberties for safety, deserve neither and they will get neither.

I'll skip the part in which you count words instead of arguments, hoping there is some sort of point.

You quoted a "spokesperson" responding to a hypothetical in a very fuzzy way, who in no way shape or form claims that covid deaths are overcounted. I quoted a peer-reviewed study that in a very precise way and based on reality that demonstrates that, not only have covid deaths not been overcounted, but have actually been undercounted.

Nothing you have said so far in this discussion applies to the real world. It only works in some... Trumpian Fantasyland. If I were you, I'd start by trying to grasp the difference between fantasy and reality.

As for your Bill deBlasio anecdote, again you try to change the subject. Couldn't care less if he's a hypocrite or not. But I do know that people who are so intent on changing the subject have run out of arguments so... I guess I do get the last word.... waddaya know...

How much of that did you not know until the government told you? If you are with the government program, you consume subsidized food/beverages loaded with HFCS, and are likely obese and have underlying medical conditions. 1/3 of Americans are diabetic or pre-diabetic. Once symptoms show, pharm products are prescribed to mask symptoms so that the patient may comfortably continue their unhealthy habits.

So who do I listen to? Those getting the best results. I have never had a flu shot, and don't get the flu. I do not consume our government subsidized diet, I maintain a healthy lifestyle, and I know how to keep my immune system strong.

Americans are fatter and sicker than ever and it is getting worse. If you think Covid was bad, wait until our rate of illness grows and another mutation comes out.

Are you kidding me? How would knowing any of that allow you to avoid the virus? It's complete nonsense. We didn't know that the virus was even that big of a threat. Trump knew, but we didn't! And if we had known it was a big threat, how would knowing any of that helped? You think that people can suddenly "choose" to be in good health and develop a strong immune system? What do we know to avoid it? How would people who were deciding to do international travel decide to cancel or continue with their plans, when the President was minimizing the threat? Trump knew. But told no one. How could people make a choice to social distance from people who were infected areas? How would we know where the elderly and sick would be safer? Would they be safer in nursing homes, or at home?

It all starts with the fact that Trump minimized the virus. So the one thing nobody knew is that those questions even needed to be asked.

I don't understand your question. Are you asking what Trump should have done? I already said it: not lie. If he tells people the facts they can decide on their own if they should risk traveling to infected areas or not. If they should hang around people or kiss people who were in infected areas. If it was a good idea to shut down certain cities while experts figured out how we could avoid getting infected.

Trump lying is where it all began. And more than a 100 thousand people (so far) unnecessarily died because of him.
