I do not believe a new facility that gives tens of thousands of jobs equates to feeding the hungry nor helping those who are cold.

I pay money to Amazon for services and realize Bezos is the most wealthy man in this country and perhaps the world. I do not pay to his firm for services because he is rich, I pay due to the benefits I gain and the savings I make.

I agree that to the typical voter, it looks terrible. But when workers get jobs, when taxes are paid and so forth, suddenly they love the idea. Cities are known to bleed companies for more than taxes, they force them to pay for schools and for things like parks and athletic fields. But to the left, those mean nothing at all.

I helped a development of new homes at one point and learned of the bleeding that happens to the developer first hand.

Everyone got a tax break, not one specific company.

What was successful 8 or 9 years ago? And you realize Obama lost control of Congress after his second year... While the dems definitely don’t get a pass on the issue it lays at the cons feet.

    1) he lost the house, not all of Congress.
    2) but Congress doesn’t run a war, the president does
    3) obama himself said it was, he said it was a free and successful Iraq when he bailed and turned it over to isis an his pals in iran

So what. It is still the same concept. Giving a tax break claiming these companies can provide more jobs. You are not liking it here because it isn't your "team" that is giving the tax break.

This isn't within the context of my response. When building a stadium, voters have a voice in whether that is to be built or not based on a vote. Not so much when it came to Amazon.

I disagree. Most folks that I know are fiscally conservative abhor these deals. Fiscal conservatives want equal opportunity. Also, food stamps should be a short temporary window.

This is politicians competing against better climates with tax payer money. Capitalists are merely making the best monetary decision. Your blaming someone making the best profit bearing decision for a company instead of the corporatist using public funds to further himself. Corporatism =/= capitalism.

I am saying that it fascist esq to provide your friends in business a tax break when you don't offer the same breaks to everyone. Cuomo said as much that giving a tax break to entice new businesses to their state was the only way to do it, and from that logic, why not just offer everyone a tax break? I would be all in favor of the dems bringing tax breaks to everyone, like when JFK last did it from the dem party. I don't have a "team", if you knew anything about libertarians, you would know that.
