    Really? Didn't see any marching leftist idiot "aspiring scientists" mincing around here anywhere...I think they might have missed some spots.

    Terrified that their guaranteed "AGW" grants, are probably not coming after all....might have to learn some ACTUAL science...

    Personally I view homosexuality, gender identity issues as psychological disorders. Aversion therapy is horrible of course, but a certain degree of humiliation may at least encourage deviants to "stay in" the closet, rather than parade their perversion.

    BTW-Chemistry ABSOLUTELY qualifies one to determine the thermal retention properties of compounds...such as CO2 , in MINISCULE AMOSPHERIC CONCENTRATIONS of about .0004.

    So as not to confuse you, I'll state said thermal retention properties, of the above stated compound, in gaseous form in the level of concentration cited : VERY DAMNED LITTLE.

    I'll admit - some of the prognostications are probably excessive.

    But here's the thing that I don't understand about the intractable stance of Trump FanBoys...

    IF climate change prognostications turn out to be completely wrong, but we act as if they are a possibility - then the absolute worst that happens is we end up with cleaner air, cleaner water, we diversify our energy supply chain so that the Saudi's can't grab us by the short hairs and we learn more about the Earth's weather pattern.

    IF climate change predictions are only partially correct, but we act as if they may be true then we get all of the above PLUS we are able to plan for problems in some low-lying cities. We ca make incremental corrections rather than wait till it's an emergency.

    IF we act as if climate change predictions are completely wrong, the best case scenario is that we end with no sea level rise but less clean air, less clean water supplies and we still have to worry about the world oil supply and the economic problems disruptions cause.

    We spent over $2 Trillion dollars on preventing terrorist attacks. Why are some people so freaked out about spending a some money to study the possibilities associated with changes in Earth's climate. Droughts cost countries hundreds of billions of dollars and millions of lives - wouldn't it be nice if we could learn to predict where and when they will happen and how to plant crops accordingly? Flooding costs countries billions and great loss of life - shouldn't we spend a few pennies to get a better understanding of our world.

    But this stance by a number of conservatives that science is BS - I just don't get it.
    Right now, the accomplishments of our Universities and their science departments touches EVERY part of our lives. It's insane to demonize these people.

    My son is a conservative Trump supporter. He has a Ph. D. in Pharmacology. So does my daughter-in-law but as she's pregnant with their 3rd child, she's currently apolitical.
