The hard fact is: He killed two people. Everything else is legalize, justification etc.

He is not innocent of Killing them. (He DID shoot them dead)..........but he is LEGALLY found "not guilty"

Plants and bugs. If you killed any of those, you are a killer for life.

Has nothing to do with loving plants. Once a killer, always a killer. Your definition.

technically that is true..........but it comes down to degrees. Killing another human being is the most repugnant on that scale.

Technically we probably all are, but most of us have not killed people

just be prepared in court if someone does sue you, to give your examples of what they killed, stole or lied about

someone that has publicly killed another human being, and it was proved or admitted to in court is an easy example to give

I respect your view. I just can’t find it in myself to reference him as anything demeaning. If someone can’t stand up to the evils we seen in our streets last year with the equipment necessary for their own safety, then what good is the second amendment for anyway? He used his knowledge of weapons to allow him to have an opposing voice to a violent riot while carrying the means that ensured his safety. I can’t find a single thing I would call him anything demeaning for.

Just because there were riots should not make good people live in silent fear and defenseless. I know you feel the same way.

My point is that the English language also requires a bit of common sense. Just because some person did something earlier in his life does mean he is labelled with that for life.

A bus driver who drove a bus and retires is no longer a bus driver.

er as a suffix usually denotes a current activity.

if a bus driver killed a bus load of children because he was drunk, would people forget? even if it was an accident, would people forget?

people have long memories about certain things

heck, some States do not allow ex-felons to vote, should they be felons for life

If ASU kicks him out then that will give him yet another liberal institution to collect a few million from.
Kid literally will end up rich beyond his wildest dreams. And I hope he nails every single lib he can.

Not talking about memory. We are talking about proper English. I seriously doubt that they would refer to him as a killer.

Your analogy does not really apply. He wold be a retired BUS DRIVER.......... or Doctor or whatever the profession

The word killer is a noun.......but also an adjective. If you killed someone. in your past ........ are you a retired killer?? Are the killers in prison "retired killers?? or are they killers.

Killing another human being is dastardly business. No matter the circumstances. But this society has become so used to killings and justifying them.............that is evidence of a disregard for humanity.

If Kyle was black.........would folks be defending him with the same vigor?? Just askin

How "killers" can become rich from their act of murder. Sue society for having standards. How vindictive.

But not a bus driver. That ended when he quit driving.

    I would under similar circumstances.

It is patently absurd to refer to someone as a killer when it happened in the past and is unlikely to occur again. It carries a meaning which no longer applies.

I don't think the campus administration should ban him. However, Kyle will need to come to terms with the consequences of his action, regardless of the "non guilty" verdict.

Glad that you concur he was dumb. More conservatives need to acknowledge this.

It seems in very poor taste to refer to someone as a killer if he has been deemed "not guilty"................but it does not erase what he did. and he will carry that for the rest of his life.

at this point it is semantics...

Maybe he should consider getting his education in antoehr country.........where he would be less known.

Technically he is a killer i.e. he killed two people. That is a matter of record and can't be disputed. What he is not is a murderer (well at least as far as those two deaths are concerned anyway) because he was found not guilty of murder by a jury of his peers. Call him a murderer? Anyone who does so is just plain wrong. But call him a killer ... well they're not lying.

Everyone involved behaved stupidly. The rioters, the government, the media, and yes, Kyle.

They need to act in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct. Period. Legally, the objective standards need to be applied equally, impartially, without regard to personal feelings, mass hysteria, popular delusions, etc..

Of course. There are always consequences. For every action, a reaction.

He and everyone who participated in that riot. Including the media, the government, the rioters, looters, arsonists...

If I see any, I'll be sure to let them know.

The judge is a Democrat. Your argument about “bias” is null and void.
