    The Ashanti Empire, which you are alluding to, was from 1700-1900. That is 150 years after the 70 portuguese expelled. So that means, in your opinion only 30 more portuguese [and in fact europeans in general] ever set foot in west afrika between 1500 and 1900 :roflol:

    So in summary, litwin thinks that in the space of 400 years, only 30 europeans set foot in west Afrika and as such, could have had no negative impact on the region, at all.

    sometimes i think you are 9 year old, the quote belongs to history of Kongo´s Kingdom, do you know that Africa´s big scale colonization has started before 19c? and when we talk about 16c. you are right Europeans traveled, fought in very small companies
