America HAD camps... over 75 years ago. Australia has its citizens in camps now for doing absolutely nothing wrong.

A 27 year old who never comes into contact with anyone who isn't in identical peak, youthful good health is a statistical anomally .. and probably doesn't actually exist. It's never just about you and your chances, it's about your potential to infect many others.

Australian government just built a concentration camp that is imprisoned citizens.

My country comes concentration camps decades ago.

You cannot speak about the rights because you have no idea what they are.

Most of the deaths attributed to the China Virus here in Texas were caused by things from natural causes to cancer to heart disease and so on. The feds dish out money for deaths recorded as "COVID". And maybe where you live the name isn't "China Virus" but it sure is here. We are from Texas so we call ourselves Texans. I was born and raised in New York and used to call myself a New Yorker. Someone from Ireland is called a "Irishman"... and this virus, being from China, is called the "China Virus". You are free to call it sushi if you want, but no one would know what you meant. Everyone knows what the "China Virus" is.
Trump took both immediate and long term action. Heck, Biden was vaccinated before he took office. HIV doesn't scare most of the population... you have to do certain things most people don't do to get infected.
I'm old enough to have had a small pox vaccination. I had it then got on with my life. I didn't obsess over small pox for years, staying out of school, off the beach and out of the mall. We got the shot them went out to dinner and then off to school the next day. Small pox didn't run our lives.
My grandparents would howl with laughter if they saw all the closings and folks walking around in masks. We'd agree with them.

Boy, am I glad I live in Texas where we don't totally obsess over the China Virus. We live our lives here as we always have, although we still must wear a mask when visiting a doctor or a hospital. But everything else is as it was. We get a chuckle out of the China Virus obsession gripping so many in other places. And the only riots and looting we've seen is on a big screen TV. I am so glad we escaped California and moved to Texas.

What I find incomprehensible is the complete lack of logic behind your arguments.

At the start of the COVID epidemic the US government banned the entry of foreign nationals into the US in an effort to slow down the spread of the disease. So stopping people who were otherwise had every legal right to enter the US is apparently not a violation of their 'rights" but Australia saying yes, you can travel to Australia but upon arrival you must quarantine for 2 weeks is a violation of rights?

    How does that work?

There is a concentration camp in Australia.

It's not me lacking logic. It's others denying reality
simple, foreign Nationals have absolutely no right to enter the country. They have to ask permission.

Do you know what a right is?

We never imprisoned anyone. If you take someone and force them into an enclosure for a period of time against their will... is that a prison? A quarantine? Seems like a difference without a distinction.

My family are Texans too. Big place, reminds me of Australia in fact
Watched a video the other day, back 10-20 years they had 12,000
outstanding warrents in Dallas alone. That amazes me. Crime is so
    normalized in America.
    So too, obviously, are pandemics.
No, our grandparents would fully understand, face masks were
here with the Spanish Flu. They are common in Asian countries
where they are seen as something couteous and considerate -
their job is to protect OTHERS from YOU, and should be worn for
    flu outbreaks too.
Yeah, I often call Covid Chinese Virus - just to make a point we all
have to suffer for Chinese govt policy in allowing it to spread.
People did 'obsess' over Small Pox - it's supposed to have killed
about a billion people. And it aint a 'white man's disease' either.
Unvaxed people provide a reservior for the disease to mutate and
spread - it's got nothing to do with how confident you feel you are
    about the virus.

You are sucking me in to obsessing about the China Virus with you. I'll stop now. I'm taking my wife out to dinner and a movie. Just like we always have.
    >COUGH!!< OH MY GOD!!! I COUGHED!!! I'M GONNA DIE!

    .... only kidding...

So its OK for the US to say 'don't come at all' why is it bad for Australia to say 'sure you can come but you have to quarantine for 14 day's. At least as far as foreign nationals are concerned?

Yeah... I'm going to go to a place where I'm put in a cage and if I decide to leave a massive manhunt will ensue. Yeah... I'm going to do that... yup...yup. Right after I finish hitting myself in the head with a ballpeen hammer! yup... yup...

No foreign national has any right to come to our country.

Again do you have any idea what a right is?

Further if you're just storing people in this prison from other countries why not just tell him this go somewhere else versus putting them in a concentration camp?

    That's a different issue/category of people but OK to expand. Firstly there wouldn't be a need to quarantine everyone if the tests were;
    a) 100% reliable 100% of the time (they're not, usually at least 2 tests are required a couple of days apart and in rare instances even then someone gets negative results only to come down with it later (based on low viral load at the time of testing or other technical issues).
    b) the virus didn't take 3-5 day as a rule to become detectable (it does)

So if someone ever invents a magical airport scanner that anyone can walk through and be instantly be declared 'COVID negative/positive' with absolute certainty the world is their oyster. Until then?

And then US States actually do have quarantine laws entitling them to quarantine (detain) US citizens in the event of contagious disease outbreaks. (This is fact.) They have been used in the past and could have been be used now. Its just that given the scale and rapid spread of the epidemic in the US that horse had not only already bolted, its had run the race, won the cup and been put out to stud!

Were a more serious illness to arrive from offshore you can almost guarantee mandatory quarantine of US citizens would be implemented in relevant cases (unless, as is the situation now that disease became so wide spread so as to have effectively breached any effective quarantine protocols).

Who do the Australians have running these prison camps? In America, the military would never do it. Has Australia started up some sort of SS-type organization as "enforcers"?

Try and get a least some facts right.

The army does not and did not 'run' either the quarantine process or the 'camp ' your so fixated on. The quarantine programs are run by the relevant State governments which is why the measures all differ slightly from state to state. At one point the Australian government 'lent' various States and territories small numbers of unarmed soldiers to help with transport and food deliveries etc to people in quarantine. They had no power of arrest and no say over who did or did not go into quarantine. They basically drove buses, did welfare checks and handed out meals. But I suppose handing out sandwiches could considered be a form of oppression? (By you anyway.) I guess it depends on how good they were (I means no-one likes a bad sandwich).

And now to America. If America were to start implementing quarantine measures it would 'manned' and enforced by State or local Police. Those police would be armed and would have powers of arrest. The State concerned would could also back the operation with State Guard forces (also armed if required) and of course and any Federal assets on loan to the State concerned.

    Now you were saying?

Oh yeah... the wardens are all absolute sweethearts. That's why the initiate a huge manhunt when a prisoner "escapes". Its all very congenial.

Sigh. Your the one who mentioned the army, not me. I just shot you down in flames on that point, that all. For that matter as far as I am aware there are no military assets involved in running the Darwin facility and no Police. There are probably some private security guards but they will be unarmed (with the exception of cash transfer guards all security guards are over here).

What part of 'then don't come' - as in you have free will and are perfectly entitled not to eludes your grasp. The hammer bit.? I'd advise against it (though it would explain the quality and accuracy of some of your posts).

You keep acting as if facts can solve a problem created by ideological fantasies and trolling. They can't. The people you are dealing with are not rational actors capable of understanding facts. They won't accept they are wrong because they can't. Anything they believe is immediately true because they believe it. They will keep trolling you as long as you keep replying to them.

Some of the escapees were aborigines. Doubt they traveled far.

Well legally they do. Provided they hold all the approved travel documents (right up to that point in time where for some legitimate reason the US government decides no, they don't). But that aside, giving foreign nationals the option to travel here if they still wish provided they undergo a quarantine period is not a violation of their rights, anymore than having to pass through Customs & Border Security inspections in the US is a violation of peoples rights. Those processes are lawful. So are the quarantine measures being imposed here.

As far as Australian Citizens go? State law not Federal law dictates when and what, if any quarantine measures can be imposed on incoming citizens. To the best of my knowledge that's the same as is the case in the US i.e. its a State prerogative. So for all your talk of 'rights' if the State where you live ever decided there was a compelling (medical/public safety) reason to impose quarantine measures on incoming US citizens (including you) legally they can do it.

    And so....?

I addressed that issue in another post. I'll get back to asap with a 'paste' of what I said since it deals with the issue (there are some very compelling local reasons for this situation arising).
