    Rasmussen only calls land lines.

Trump promises a 'very long' government shutdown as the Senate is set to reject border wall money

The Senate is set to reject a House-passed temporary spending bill that includes money for President Donald Trump's border wall.

There is no clear solution in sight to break a government funding impasse ahead of a midnight Friday government shutdown deadline.

Trump promises a "long" shutdown if Democrats do not approve money for the barrier.

Yep. Literally "as long" as the POTUS decides. (D)'s can never get 2/3 to override VETO. (R)'s though can get 51%.

Rasmussen was proven reliable when they predicted Trump would be elected.

    Watch the news.

The Senate leaders and Trump are meeting to work out a compromise right now.

    Watch and learn.

I think it was a reference to the Rasmussen poll that had President Trump at 49%. Trump enthusiasts like that poll very much and tend to ignore all of the other ones.

That's because Rasmussen is more reliable (polling only likely voters and ignoring thugs in the ghetto).

Sorry, you don't capriciously "shift the blame" anymore. Trump is naked as a rattlesnake now. Everyone has his number. Trump's attempt to pin this on Dems after his tirade of "I'm proud to take the blame - I won't blame Democrats." Trump's word isn't worth a warm bucket of piss and everybody knows it. Well, almost everybody.

I disagree, 90% of GOP supporters still support Donald Trump and will absolutely buy 100% anything and everything that Donald Trump is selling.

If the President says it's a Democratic shutdown, then to them, and perhaps 40%-45% of the US electorate, a Democratic shutdown it is.

What we do or don't do isn't an issue. Only the blame matters. Now that is progress.

Rasmussen has not been reliable for two years.

Maybe 80% support Donald, but even if 90% he does not have what he needs for the primaries.

To 55 to 70% of America, the shut down is all Donald.

Democrats in Congress need to wake up. Manipulating Trump should be a no-brainer for them. Putin does it all the time.:)

Anyway, the loss of so many of Trump's staff and cabinet points to the dangerous, chaotic instability of this administration. It also points to a dreadful ignorance of diplomatic and military understanding on Trump's part. But, I'm sure that in the end, he'll link them all to some deep-state Resistance.

Rasmussen was dead WRONG by almost 10 percent in the Midterms.

    https://edition.cnn.com/2018/12/08/politics/poll-of-the-week-trumps-favorite-pollster/index.html

Rasmussen has zero credibility when it comes to polling because it is a SHILL for the GOP and your beloved BLOTUS!

Rcp shows his approval as 37.5% on Nov 8, 2016, and 42.5% today. That is a 6 point rise. Sorry for my bad math.

Very bad, it's Christmas celebrations and I've had a few to drink.

Cut a brother some slack in the spirit of the season.

This is AUSTRALIA we measure our drinking in number of six packs, not number of beers!

I work as a poker and blackjack dealer too so I should know better.

    Three 6 packs?

I gave up binge drinking in my 20's!

Yes, sometimes I might have little too much to drink but as soon as I recognize the symptoms I switch to water.

Yes, it is easy to forget that but isn't 3 6 packs a lot to drink in a single sitting?

I stopped getting hangovers when I switched to tequila on the rocks.

You think Putin benefits from this, as most of those who bought into the Russiagate fraud do think, if that is really thinking. I find that sort of "thinking" to be amusing.

A group that will benefit from this decision is the US taxpayer, at least in theory. Another group to benefit is those who believe our defense department is supposed to DEFEND this country, not advance empire and the profits of war profiteers.

Another will be the family of my nephew who was headed to Syria. Now he will not be a sitting duck at the Al-Tanf camp on the border with Iraq. Bravo.

LOL! Most pollsters were wrong on some of the midterms.

Rasmussen was right about Clinton, though.

    :D

And they do poll only registered voters........not thugs.

    That's why they're accurate.
