Bad news for Democrats: Stocks record high - Employment 1/2 Century High

Yeah, stocks are high but it is mostly the rich who benefit from stocks. The middle class has seen wage gains of 2.9% and inflation of 2.9%.

 

And yet Obamabots continue to be triggered by America's improving economy.

 

Where do those that are upset over American prosperity go to get their "America sux" talking points?

 

So the ponzi scheme that is the stock market is somehow going to save the US from a catastrophic crash?

The reduction in federal tax receipts could have been designed to benefit whatever class of people that Trump and the Republicans thought were important. The fact that the benefits were overwhelmingly designed to go to the rich at the obvious cost to the deficit was no accident.

 

So have any of you leftist returned to the Gov the extra money you are getting in your pay check thanks to President Trump?????

No matter what taxes the rich pay, it will never be enough. If you do't pay taxes, there is no way your taxes can be reduced. You are not talking about tax reduction, you are talking about welfare. I am in favor of welfare for the truly needy. I am not in favor of income redistribution just because someone else makes more money than I do.

 

Working age employment is at an all time high.

The economy is improving greatly.

So, why do you need a chart?

You call 2.9% wage growth and 2.9% inflation "prosperity"? For real everyday Americans, the prosperity never really trickled down to them.

 

Oh no, I have heard no one complaining about the economy.
It's been 9 yrs of an improving economy. Coming out of the great recession.
It's why I said, there was a tripling of the stock market, 75 consecutive months of pvt sector job growth and unemployment under 5%. Remarkable turn around that was.
And it continues it's upward trend still 1.5 yrs later, after the 2017 inauguration.

The only whiners I am witnessing is the RWers thinking this just started 1.5 yrs ago. But it's RWers so, it's understandable.

Stage 1 of TDS was to deny the economy was improving and wine that Americas economy was going down the tubes. Basically TDS sufferers were channeling Paul Krugman from the Morning Joke show.

Stage 2 of TDS started when Obama ran out and tried to take credit for the Tax Cuts and Trump's deregulation, and the sheep follow suit.

 

Stage left, the economy has been moving up since 2009, unabated, pretty much.
I have seen NO ONE deny that.

Economic charts only show the "what is". They do not show "why". The "why" is as important or more important than the "what is" because it provides an indication of where we are going.

Today's employment to population ratio; 60.3%

April 2000 employment to population ratio; 64.4%

A huge/significant difference of 4%

There's a difference in working age employment and total population.

Counting infants and retirees is silly.
