Bakers refused to make pro-Trump birthday cake for 9-year-old boy: Report

Can you post the names of all of the bakeries they went to, and get some confirmation that they didn't do this because they "hate Trump"? I didn't see any names listed in the OP. I also didn't see mention of "hating" Trump.

And please be sure to post their websites so I can see all of the Barack Obama or Nancy Pelosi cakes they offer to the general public which shows that they really did do this because they "hate Trump". Thanks.

 

Depends on the cake and what's wanted. Even the new guy at the bakery can write "maga" on any cake and voila, you have a Trump cake.

The best I could have done would have been an edible image(basically a edible printing of a picture, any picture actually)of Secretariat and Ron Turcotte. Most bakeries aren't as skilled as say cake boss or duff, and those that can do that stuff are incredibly expensive(for a cake anyways).

An Obama cake would have gotten the same treatment, edible image or "hope and change".

You're right, they could have simply written "MAGA" in red frosting and be done with it. But that's another problem - we have no idea what the parents of this child asked for. Was it an image of Trump? Was it just "MAGA"? Very little information here. And I still think the guy is trolling. He's trying to make a point, and it isn't a good one. He should stick to the right message of dragging people into an engagement of commerce against their will.

We got around the Secretariat thing by getting a cake with a horse on it and I bought blue and white frosting and frosted in the colors of his silks under the saddle. My kid was young enough to fall for it (thank goodness!). We told him Turcotte fell off.

Much like my stance with Gay Wedding cakes, They should go elsewhere for their cake and take their dollars with them. The conservative side of the aisle has more buying power and actually does use it in times like these.
