I guess some people believe doing the right thing is more important than doing the popular thing. Successful in my usage was that is occurred — which isn’t up for debate — not that it was correct or any other qualification however.

So to directly answer your question — yes, it can be.

Almost like they are part of one branch of government and have no real power if the other side sits on hundreds of their bills...

Yeah, imagine if they were willing to be reasonable and just send a clean COVID relief bill over. But, Democrats don't do that sort of thing.

Well for it to have passed it of course had to be “popular” with the House. If it wasn’t “popular” he would not have been impeached.
The last polls taken showed 58% approval on impeachment and 52% approval on removal.

Why haven’t Republicans done this in your opinion?

yep so doing what is popular isn’t always what’s doing what is right.

or are you all gonna campaign on this?

The Senate has a much smaller, focused proposal. Maybe you missed that.

My point has been quite clear, why is Michele Obama who's only claim to fame is she was married to Obama and became first lady speaking about the COVID pandemic and the policies needed? What expertise is she speaking from on a medical or administrative view? I would rather see at the least maybe a member of Congress who is on one of the committees dealing with it or a Governor who has been dealing with it, not someone who has been on vacation for the last 4 years watching Rachel Maddow scream it's all Trump's fault.

So Democrats aren't going to use Trump's impeachment in ads? No surprise it was a flop

Genetic fallacy. There's nothing wrong with that article. You asked why Republicans don't have a plan, I showed you they do.

So, the fact is that Republicans do have a plan for a bill.
Democrats wanted to attach an extra $2 trillion in unrelated spending, along with some other nonsense laws.
Because that's more important to Democrats than COVID relief.

They submitted a proposal if I remember correctly in June to counter the bill submitted by the House in July (wonder why they took so long?)
Democrats disagreed with the $200 UI benefit, absolute liability shields for businesses that have workplace violations, zero funding for states and local governments, mandating schools to reopen even if not safe to do so... hardly a “clean” bill.

The liability protection was to prevent ambulance chasers from further killing small businesses with lawsuits because someone happens to catch COVID. It makes sense. The $200 federal UI benefit was on top of state benefits.

So, why did the House not just put a bill forward that extended the benefits they passed the first time?

And Republicans wanted to tie school funding to forced reopening and allowing employers absolute immunity from failing to make even minimum protections for their employees while slashing the UI benefit to $200.00

And they waited an entire two months after Democrats proposed theirs to do anything.
Why not just pass a clean bill and be done with it?

Businesses could easily protect themselves by implementing even small polity
And $200.00 is not enough for any family that cannot find work due to this mess.

Because they are corrupt / short sighted and see this as an opportunity to obtain other things they want.

Schools are funding at the local level. What's federal funding have to do with it? Republicans were willing to help fund them, IF they were actually going to open the schools.
The Senate normally waits for the House. The Republican bill was fairly clean and focused on COVID. Democrats were having none of it.
