because they are the ones that need the liability protection...ie the restaurant

    the restaurant is the employer

many of us have, but Biden is still a much better choice then Trump

would we of preferred someone younger, sure, but Trump and Biden are our choices

it had to do with employees and customers

The top 3 things Im hearing from dem voters for voting Trump or not voting at all...

    -The economy.

    -Being tough on crime.

    -Biden seems unfit to lead.

These "concerns" from Obama were leaked for a reason-Obama wanted this out there.

I don't think he is doing it to sink Biden, I think he's trying to distance himself from Biden.

Which is false, it is a general liability protection that protects businesses against employees (as well as customers)

Maybe you can point to where in the bill where it only applies to customers.

sure because there is no way of knowing if that’s where you got the rona....and there is no point in costing the company any more money during the chinese pandemic

glad you admit it didn’t just apply to employees. The point is that there is no way is saying where someone got the virus and harm the company that’s already been hit because of the chinese virus anymore

It is called contact tracing, we absolutely have a way of knowing — and it is extremely important we know where it is spreading from.

Why should businesses be exempt from negligence? Especially when you are saying states should not be...

It depends on the state, if someone can prove negligence most of the time they have a case. It depends on the state “recognization of a cause of action for negligent transmission of a contagious or infectious disease”.

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, federal regulations stipulate “that employers must take reasonable steps to provide a safe workplace for their employees” ... Further, employers “have a duty to protect their employees from recognized hazards”.

Seeing that COVID is a recognized hazard the above is applicable

You can absolutely sue an ice cream shop for negligence that causes you to get ill.

You didn’t answer the question; “Why should businesses be exempt from negligence? Especially when you are saying states should not be...”

    White Liberal $ $ $

Obama, Kamala, Biden represents so much
"who else y'gonna" vote for as the anointed candidate.

The Destruction of Al Franken, Senator from Minnesota
was a sham of due process.
Likewise Bernie Sanders' '16 and the DNC that already decided it was , "Hillary"
    before any primaries.

    Go Figure!

sorry if the ice cream was the cause...not i simply picked up a cold big in line waiting for it...likewise if the person dipping the ice cream catching a cold bug they can’t sue the store.

There is a natural inherit risk with living in the world and the ice cream shop shouldn’t be tied up in court over every bug like that

If someone can prove the ice cream shop ignored basic hygiene standards they open themselves up to suit.
You know all those posters you see in public facilities, they are mandated by law.

The argument that COVID is similar to the cold is disingenuous at best.
I guess my company can drop our disease insurance policy since we are immune from lawsuits!

There is plenty of desperation - you just have to watch Trump closely. The very fact he is trying to disenfranchise voters by interfering with the mail speaks volumes

He isn't interfering with the mail. Even if you read that online.

Yes you apple the rate to the count.
So 56k homeless would see about 170 people die. Give or take

Gotta love how desperate conservatives are. When an unnamed source says bad things about Trump, “fake news!” When an unnamed source says bad things about Biden, it is undeniably true.

Come on man, Really. The death rate of the homeless in NY is 321 per 100,000 people, not per 100,000 homeless. Death rates are calculated by total population. Not a segment of the population.
