    It's nonsense and Iran is far more likely to have their bomb in a few year's time (as everyone agrees) with this agreement than without it.

    The fact was the agreement was between the Obama administration, Iran and the other countries. Not necessarily the U.S. because Obama didn't go the constitutional senate route for ratification. He bypassed congress making the deal between him and the rest. It was more or less like Nixon's deal with President Thieu of South Vietnam. Nixon didn't get senate ratification either and congress decided not to honor it. In this case, Trump decided not to honor this Iran deal.

    When a president bypasses congress or how these deals are to be honored as stated in the Constitution, things like this can and will happen. I was more or less ambivalent when Obama made the deal and am more or less the same today with Trump pulling out.

    But I did warn one and all when Obama chose not to go the constitutional senate ratification route, that any future president could just dump it on a whim.

    While I do not disagree in principle, the fact remains that it is, or was, in place, and it is much easier to amend an agreement than trash it altogether, especially when we have so many allies on board.

    No, this is chickenhawk Bolton's doing. He's had a hard on for going to war with Iran for 30 years. This is stage one of his plan.

    I'm too old to go to war, and my kids are too young. And for that I am thankful. It's going to be messy and will take a lot more blood and treasure than either Iraq or Afghanistan did.
