So what is you explanation of why the middle class was so willing to vote against their own interest. No question that the Republican healthcare bill was going to shaft the lower middle class. And the Republican plans to cut Medicaid and Medicare are aimed at hurting the middle class. And of course there is the tax reform which gives at least 80% to the upper ten percent and a measly $660 dollars to the middle class while balooning the deficit. And now of course the Republicans are putting 401K plans at risk and perhaps cutting other deductions that help the middle class i n the budget plans so they can do tax reform to help the rich.

So give me your theory why the middle class voted so obviously against their own interest.
