Lol. I can provide you with a list of politicians convicted and sentenced to 'political crimes' both federal and state of a similar sort, if you'd like, all across the country. The statutes are sitting on the books, just like they have been since the late sixties early seventies, with elements to be proven, and juries to be empaneled and sentencing guidelines all across the country. These statutes are a little more precise than the wording of high crimes and misdomeanors in the constitution.

Only half correct. Barr commented, not declared, that he "did not expect that the Durham investigation will pursue either Biden or Obama." He did not use the phrase that the DOJ will not be used for political ends in this context.

Harris can also not recognize that the sun rises in the east for anybody cares..... as if she has any say in the matter.

I kind of agree with your point, but you did not refute my assertion that prosecutors NEVER EVER declare anyone they are investigating as innocent, in fact you confirmed it. You are absolutely correct that prosecutors often use a phrase like -- 'we have found no credible evidence to support an indictment...', but that is totally and purposefully not the same as declaring innocence.

I agree that prosecutors try to suck the air out of the balloon but that is not what Mueller did. Mueller deliberately did not soften the impact by sucking the air out because his primary objective was to leave a trail of suspicion, innuendo, and implication that the House or others might follow.

If Biden wins, whoever is appointed AG will not recognize a presidential self-pardon.

Period. It's not about Harris, per se, I just used her as an example. Your point on 'sun rises' is rhetoric and not a merit worthy argument.

Well we agree in part. He did not suck any air out, because he thought that air should damn well stay in the balloon. We disagree on why he thought that air should stay in the balloon . Mueller thought the investigation and evidentiary trail showed the balloon deserved every single oxygen and carbon dioxide particle inside it.

What's it called when an opposition party invents political crimes to justify locking up their political opponents?

    Asking for a friend.

My point still stands: Very few care what the AG thinks, and Harris' recognition or not has no relevance or weight with anybody.

Yes, I'm sure that Biden won't Pardon Trump. For the simple fact that after he is elected (assuming that he is, there is no guarantee) he'll be replaced using the 25th Amendment.

Biden is a place holder. Nothing more. His mental deterioration is quite evident to even many lefties. They just don't care because in their world its "get rid of Trump at all costs!" and has been from day one.

However, the real question is who is going to stop him, and how? You're implying Harris could go ahead and prosecute, but she would have to get SCOTUS to agree, which they won't..... depending on the scope of Trump's self pardon.

What's wrong with wanting to send Trump to jail?

He's already got a lot of friends there.

I truly hate to say this but IF Biden wins he won't last long enough to do much of anything. Concern yourself instead on what whoever is the VP will do.

What crime you going to send him there for?

I guess you hope obama goes to jail, and Biden as well. Leaking data obtained from masking is highly illegal.

    Obstruction of justice.

It could have been incompetence, but that's not a crime, even when you're President.

Maybe nothing as long as it is not wrong to be an inane insane person suffering from Trump derangement syndrome.
