Way back in the 80s one old woman just called in and said "to all you said, Ditto" other callers did so and it caught on.

This is the kind of people most hard-shell conservatives are. They are proud of the fact that they are totally unoriginal thinkers who follow certain others without thinking.

LOL the Ag industry is my business, I've spent more time with Midwest farmers this month than you have in your life.

longer warming would help the Northern Plains states and Canada agriculture.

You must be in Indiana, most of the Midwest ag ground is not built on top of wetlands and don't have the issue tiling is aimed at fixing. In primarily Indiana and valley areas, the water table is very high, therefore surface water has no place to go. This makes tiling common because it allows the roots more dirt to expand in and water filtrates through the soil properly. Problem with tiling is it also takes valuable nutrients and chemical and pushes them down stream creating horrible algae bloom in the river systems. Most of the Midwest is not converting to tiling, they want water and would prefer flat easily irrigated crops but don't have that luxury due to topography.

You don't know what the temps were a couple hundred years ago, it's a guess.

Then your in one of the river valleys or you don't understand water hydraulics, based on your tilling helps water drain the later is probably the case. Less tillage decreases water runoff and soil and chemical migration. In other words if you till you can expect more water runoff, the goal the water being soaked up through the ground along with nutrients and tilling makes the ground makes it less able to absorb and infiltrate. I have literally never in my life heard a farmer say he wants less infiltration and more runoff, there's much better ways to get water off a field during a growing season. In the Midwest top soil migration is a huge problem and exactly why no-till and cover crop is growing substantially.

Considering it has been my business for the last 8 plus years, I doubt that.

You claim to be in the mid-west and yet you do not even know that most of it is the flattest part of the country. Seriously, have you ever been to Illinois, or Kansas or Missouri, or Nebraska? Flat cropland is all there is for most of those states. And yes, farmers are adding tiling to drain the excess water from the the more common heavy rains they are experiencing. Yes, they want the water, but not all in a 2 hour period.

    Perhaps this will help you...

    https://farmdocdaily.illinois.edu/2019/08/use-of-tile-2017-us-census-of-agriculture.html

Use of tile is examined in this article. Attention on tile has grown in recent years due to increased attention on large rain events. Consistent with this attention, land tiled increased by 7 million acres between the 2012 and 2017 censuses. Both use of tile and its growth is concentrated in states that border the Great Lakes or are in the Corn Belt.

Don’t forget about the cars they drive which are usually high polluting junk heaps, and I don’t expect to see them buying Teslas any time soon.

The worst are the people who cry about global warming are the people who pollute it the most compared to the average Joe, people like Gore, Kerry, AOC, and others.

Well, you know, as soon as they are tackling climate change, they'll have to subject themselves to the assault weapons ban...

LOL... Do you really think California would go to war with the rest of the west in an effort to protect their water that actually comes from those states when California allows most all of it's run off to flow back into the ocean? Whom do you suppose the People's republic of California will get to fight that war?

The army's purpose is to kill people and to break things.

Army cannot agree or disagree. Army has no say in it.

Just how do you prepare differently for the wars fought over resources like water instead of oil?

well, yes. but they don't break things and kill stuff as much as they do other stuff since we're not at war right now. most people in the army don't break anything or kill anything.

I live in Los Angeles and don't see this concern for the planet Dems are talking about. They commute in their single occupancy vehicles while trains and buses run empty, eat tons of burgers, and buy tons of stuff from Amazon packed in paper boxes delivered by trucks.
