you'll have to explain to me what the middle class is and what the rich is
that's hundred percent false we do not have a flat tax rate in the US we have a progressive tax rate.

I'm neither right nor left I view taxes as theft. And the government should be spending most of their time trying to figure out how not to be as much of a mooch.

if we want a society with jobs that can not support a person working 40 hours a week, then we need a safety net...

someone is paying for that cheap labor to survive, even if it's not the employer

Democrats appear to want to flood the market with cheap labor which oppresses pay; thus, exacerbating the issue.

I guess you didn't read my post I don't have a problem with a safety net. have a problem with socialism that calls itself a safety net that people just live on. That's not what a safety net is for.
This is the point of the economic libido that I was talking about that you didn't address. If your labor is cheap and you want it to be worth more then you should gain more skills as what would happen if you work cheaply for a few years. Then your labor is worth more.

The fact that people permanently dwell and the cheapest realm of the labor force is there is no incentive to do better. You can live pretty well being a mooch.

I think if you ran on that platform alone you would get billions of dollars thrown at you.

If there was a flat tax across the board say 20%. That's way less than what the rich are paying.

No, he's simply not an "NFL star".... I think he's essentially incorrect, but not because of his color...

I'm completely against "reparations", as I understand it's being considered...

The oil companies have never been bailed out or gotten subsidies like the auto industry, airline industry and farmers have.

And no, tax cuts are not subsidies.

yep, I have always been for a flat tax

a flat tax where everyone pays the same % for every dollar they earn over the poverty line is the only fair system

all income needs to be treated as income, no caps, everyone pays the same % across the board for every dollar earned over the poverty line, rich or poor alike

He had the nerve to speak against the Democrats, therefore he must be ridiculed and marginalized per typical Democrat practice.....like claiming he is not a star.

Then you do not understand debate, or logical fallacies. Nothing the man said you have contradicted with any veracity, so his statement stands in your world.

It is beyond disingenuous to even remotely equate the Democratic Party of the past (Jim Crow, Slavery) to the modern day democratic party. To say that the democratic party of the early 1900's and up to the 50's is just ridiculous. If you want to compare the dems and repubs of the early century, most honest people would say that the roles have changed 180 degrees. The modern day republican party more closely resembles those who supported Jim Crow and segregation, and the democratic party is more inclusive.

Where does it say in the Constitution that the job of the Federal Government is to "help people." Liberals are real good at spending other peoples money. And when someone pays less of the money they earned to the Government somehow they are viewed as (to use a 70s term) "getting over."

Define rich. When Tip O'Neal was speaker of the House he was asked to define rich and said it was anyone making more than $55,000 per year. When I was making about $66,000 a year during the Clinton administration (while paying child support in MD) I somehow managed to pay a Alternative Minimum Tax which was (we were told) intended for rich people. The reality is the dims want to increase the tax on the middle class. They always have.

The best way to help the least among us long term is to make sure that they have a job and feel their worth. Throwing money at people does not make them feel better about themselves and only teaches them dependence NOT independence, but Democrats just don't get it because they only want to CONTROL people. And what better way than by doling money out, so they can buy votes...
