They did not support making them permanant and why the Republicans had to pass by simple majority which invokes the 10 year sunset clause. Had the Democrats supported them to hit the 60 vote supermajority they would have been permanent.

You can't prove that they get "direct" payments like some companies get via bailouts or like some people get via welfare.

Again, the oil companies have never been bailed out with other people's money. They have only gotten tax cuts.

THey didn't have the votes because the Dems were against it....it wasn't going anywhere.

So, once again I highlighted you were completely and totally wrong the dems did not support the tax breaks for the working class.

    Not on ordinary income.

With that said, thanks to Rachael Maddow releasing the President's we know Trump paid more then Obama and Sanders....https://www.peoplespunditdaily.com/news/politics/2017/03/15/trump-paid-higher-tax-rate-obama-romney/

    "
President Donald J. Trump paid more in taxes and a higher effective federal tax rate than his predecessor Barack Obama, socialist icon Bernie Sanders and Mitt Romney. According to leaked tax returns from 2005, which leftwing opinion anchor Rachel Maddow on MSNBC bombed in revealing, President Trump paid roughly $38 million in taxes on $150 million in income.

That’s an effective federal tax rate of roughly 25%.

In 2015, Mr. Obama released his federal income tax returns showing he and the First Lady filed jointly and reported an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $436,065. The Obamas paid $81,472 in total tax, giving them an effective federal income tax rate of 18.7%.

In 2014, Sen. Sanders and his wife took $60,208 in deductions from their taxable joint income of $205,271. Of course, they are all perfectly entitled to do so because these oft-assailed deductions are legal under and permitted by the U.S. tax code. They paid a total $27,653 in federal income taxes, giving them an effective federal tax rate of just 13.5%."

Why don't Dems want to pay their fair share?

They did put it up for a vote in the House...where only three Dems voted for it. So, we got a great idea how they'd vote

The average person can live on MW with a 40 hour work week.

I fail to see how driving up the cost of all products will help the problem of people in dead end jobs.

Why are you paying more than 15% on capital gains? I know hes earning a wage now, which is minuscule compared to his investments, but I can assure you that hes paying more than 15% on those earnings.

I paid about 12% this year, which is actually a little higher than normal as I didnt properly account for the the effects of the new tax rates and deductions. Next year I'm hoping to get back down into the 7-10% range.

I guess a better question to ask here is why you are purposefully comparing 2 different types of taxes like they are the same? You arent dumb, you know you are being facetious in your comparison. Do you believe everyone that doesnt agree with you is too dumb to notice?

No. I believe in a minimum wage. I simply believe that anything over $10 an hour is excessive.

I believe he is referring to uneducated=undocumented workers the democrats promote and protect via sanctuary practices.. They do have a hug impact on wages/benefits and job availability in protected communities..
