There can be some disagreement on that.
Stalin could hardly be called "ethical"
    Hitler? Ethical?
Napoleon? Building Empire through war is "ethical"?

Music lies in the ears of the beholder, as does art. Purely an emotional claim.

You are judging by the worst examples. I judge by the best. All orher races can match the worst examples. None can match the best
No, it is an aesthetic claim. That Western music is superior can be demonstrated by the fact that the most talented Chinese musicians chose to play Western music and the superiority of the art demonstrated by the fact that wealthy Japanese art collectors collect Western art. Other cultures prefer Western culture to their own.

It is instructive to note that you all argue for racial equality by tearing down the White race instead of promoting the accomplishments of other races.

Ming Dynasty vases go for more money than Western vases. A Bonsai tree with centuries of care can go for over a million dollars.

I will grant the Chinese superiority in vases and stunting trees. There is much that I admire in Chinese culture, but music isn't one of them.

I will backtrack a little and admit an emotional response to music. Western music explores the emotional spectrum more widely and more deeply than other cultures. You will not find an Indian work that can evoke dread like 'The Hall of the Mountain King, for instance.

Chinese art is expressive, but only in a narrow rage with a limited number of subjects. What Chinese work compares with this?

Japanese Cinema inspired a whole range of American Westerns.

It's silly to argue "superiority" when you are just claiming personal preference born of your own heritage.
There are too many borrowed elements from multiple cultures these days to claim complete independence.
Music coming from all directions fused into better productions
    Food fusion from all cultures.

    It's all silly partisanship.

What is this work. Seems to me it was made with Western materials using Western techniques. I am guessing it is Japanese, but it doesn't spring from Japanese aesthetics.

While true, a lot of music tends to be of a specific time period and part of the world. You really don't see much Japanese, Indian or African music making it's way to American Bandstand, and they certainly don't go on world tours. What we mostly see is American, Canadian and European music making its' way around the world. Also, like I said, a lot of that music either dies out or morphs into another type of music, much the same way rock and roll morphed into heavy metal, grunge, etc. What can not be denied is the music by European and Russian masters because it has survived the test of time with some of those composers being dead for hundreds of years, yet their music is recognizable to almost everyone and is played in every country on the planet. Much of today's music will fade into distant memories after they wear out their welcome on the oldies stations, but the music of the masters will live on for eternity.

Well, the conversation is about racism and you brought up these wars.
All human races are equal. No races think alike, as can be evidenced by countless wars in human history.
The problem that many D pols tend to group people by race and gender. There are ultra conservative and ultra liberal women out there, and the presence of vagina didn’t cause equivalent thinking. Same thing with race - there are blacks and whites out there displaying totally opposing worldview.

As for what black people are superior at - I do not think it’s unethical to recognize and celebrate some racial trends. Trend does not mean all, keep that in mind. So, black people tend to perform better than other races at competitive running. I also get the impression that they handle heat better.
Asians tend to be good with discipline, which tends to result in better education.
As for whites - they seem to perform better as heavy athletes, like weight lifting. Also, innovation - historically it looks like whites can take numerous inventions made by others and take them further - gun powder is a good example, as Chinese used it for quite a while before it reached Europe and it was Europeans who expanded its use and popularized it in warfare.
I can’t comment on other races as I do not feel like I made enough observations.
I honestly think we should celebrate our differences instead of pretending they don’t exist.

For a while I've been pondering the idea that evolution and breeding play a part in the abilities and achievements of different races. If you look back a few hundred years ago a man in Africa would be a prized catch if he could run down prey and hunt animals or fight off the neighboring tribes. So in that instance the most physically adept man would have the honor of marrying the chief's daughter and it made sense to breed the most physically robust men and women. In Europe a prize of a catch would be someone of intellect instead of physical prowess. People who could design buildings, ships, calculate mathematical equations, heal the human body, etc were the desirable people which put mere physical characteristics in the back seat. It's just a thought, I could be 100% wrong, or there could be some accuracy in what I said.

I find there are objective criteria on which to judge cultures. Denying objective criteria is nihilism. If nihilism is true, then is doesn't matter what I do or believe or what you do and believe. It is all absurd.

Sometimes there are cultural fads using non-western cultures, but they don't last.

Partisanship isn't silly. It has real life consequences.

    A. what was the raw numbers that these stats were based on? B. What year(s) did it cover? C. Family & Domestic are categories that seem to overlap, family can be 3 to 5 people. Are they indicating "domestic" as a cause or extended family situation? Felony covers a LOT of areas, from bar fight to gang bang. To culminate that just doesn't make sense without further information

I'm dealing with the last 20 some odd years where you have mass shootings in schools, movie houses, concerts, bars, etc. Given that, your stat game doesn't cut it. FYI: PolitiFact | Are white males responsible for more mass shootings than any other group?

"We" have had ample opportunity to do so in the last 30 years....it didn't happen with Ahmadou Diallo, for example. The reason why it's happening now with BLM was that the final straw with a guy who essentially was suspected of a felony (passing counterfeit money) and/or a misdemeanor (intoxication via a controlled substance after YEARS of other cases that seem to increase in frequency.

Technically and morally you are right, but what you refer to does NOT happen as frequently, nor does it have the history that black folk have. Remember, it wasn't just black folk that were protesting at the BLM protests and demonstrations.

Jeez, Spooky...a simple, "you're right" or a clik on 'like' would suffice.

agree, but I want equal rights for all, so that is what I will push - bad cops effect all of society, we should all be on our last straw, time for good cops to protect us from criminal cops

when someone shows a video of a white person being murdered by police, we just say, yes white people are victims of bad police too, join me in this fight against corrupt cops, take a knee

my biggest push is that all cops are required to have cop cams on at all times, the cameras should be redundant, two running at same time, if the camera is off when someone they are being investigated for abuse or murder, they lose their jobs and are tried and the jury told that there cop cams were both turned off

anyone watching a cop breaking the law and doing nothing will also lose their job

have all recorded video sent to a 3rd party to review - we have to restore trust in our police again

And the Chinese were starved, and Indians have had the caste system working against them, and the Vietnamese and Cambodians had far worse atrocities visited upon them, etc etc etc.

Find a better excuse for 21stC failure.

I think harsh climate forced Europeans to favor those who innovate, as it was important for survival. Humans are tropical animals and cannot physically survive outside of tropical region without the use of artificial tools. Both, Europeans and Asians (and later native Americans) had to use innovation, dedication, and persistence to survive - it was an absolute necessity. Think of development of iron - someone was picking bog iron ore by hand and then heated it and persistently banged it with stone tools trying to make iron. That’s a lot of discipline, curiosity and hunger for knowledge!

People from all sorts of horrific circumstances can and do turn on a dime to exploit opportunities when conditions are right. They will discard past wounds as irrelevant to their current goal. And we're talking about people who LIVED horrific circumstances.

    No excuses.

Why, the fact that there were people who liked having slaves so much that they would go to war to keep slavery is a horrific thing.
