They control no part of the internet. Except programs. Not who can access the internet.

How many and how long have there been black judges?
Anyone can still use there services. Some can't post things for violating rules. But there is nothing stopping them from using them.

True, we're a mixed economy. Imo, we've gone far enough in that regard.

I'll have to disagree. An echo chamber will propel itself towards an extreme position. Intellectual diversity, where it's allowed to exist, provides checks and balances.

It's almost as if educated people are more likely to lean one particular direction on the political spectrum.

Do you think google makes hiring decisions based on who is liberal or republican? Or is it possible that the vast majority of people who are qualified to work at google happen to be liberal?

Again, academia is inudated with progressivism. It hasn't always been that way. It's become the culture within that realm. This doesn't mean that progressive types are more intelligent. This means that people who go through post secondary education become indoctrinated, or at least realise that they'd better keep their heads down if they don't want trouble. And besides, if conservatives are so stupid, as you seem to imply, how is it that we manage to accomplish anything, considering that we're so intellectually outmatched?

As for the question of how google hires, I have no idea. The case of James Damore makes it clear how they'll fire though. They, and other tech giants, have a problem with intellectual diversity. That's not a sign of intelligence, that's a sign of sheepish cowards who're afraid of having their views challenged.

Well in response to @ModCon, you asked, "how many Fox tv people contribute to the R party?" Why did you ask that?

You strictly only worry about things that are illegal? Surely you can't be serious.

How are they trying to take away free speech?

    Bull!

Fox News, Trump and his Trumpies, and almost the entire Republican establishment screamed and a cried how a Judge, with impeccably credentials, but could NOT give a fair decision on the Trump- Judge Curiel case on arbitrary banning visitors from visiting the USA court case for the ONLY reason of the judge's Hispanic lineage!

Nothing has demonstrated Google of that kind of denial and bigotry except for the usual Fox News anecdotal BS from the Righties and Trumpies that "Google serves quiche and vegetarian granola in their free, Socialist lunchroom! Google must be cheating because the company earn scads of money!"

    That's true enough.

In the 60s and I was in Catholic school, actually TWO books in each class - we had the Textbook of each class, and the Bible. Except the Bible was the Old Testament that got use, both for study and being hit hard enough to make my ears bled for some of the infractions.

The New Testament was pretty dusty in those pages. The namby-pamby reading in the New Testament, if a student was foolish to ask about the contradictions in the New, was one of the ways to get yours ears end up bleeding.

We should keep an eye on them, but not fall into the trap of anti-trust and government regulation, because I can guarantee that it will come back to bite us.

And Facebook, Google, and Twitter are fast becoming monopolies.

What do people say when they want someone to look something up, "Bing it", or "Google it"?

Google is the Standard Oil of our day. But libs have no problem with monopolies if run by libs, especially if they're screwing conservatives.

    Reason #2,538,941 to hate libs.

Google employees are Americans if they are legally contributing to a political party (the article does not suggest otherwise unless I missed it?) so the issue is moot unless a crime was committed? What's your opinion of all the Russians and Russian owned companies that financed the Trump Campaign and the Trump inauguration (some through strawmen)? I'd say that's more of an issues of concern no? In addition, the majority of the DOJ & FBI employees are conservatives (I am not suggesting that they are all NEW "Republicans), does that mean that they are not honouring their oaths? OP thread is not really a real issue unless people ergo corporations are defined only by politics.
