Instead of a Hitler comparison, I'd go more for Emperor Nero. In that Nero is viewed as one of the most historically incompetent autocrats in the history of autocracy. In much the same way, Brandan has failed every conceivable attempt of governance that he has no choice but to mandate, to set up a goon squad to browbeat into submission: He doesn't know how to get consent.

We Americans really need a recall power, it helps the UK keep the prime minister on their toes and it should work the same here.

When Biden uses the word "encourage", that's Orwellian code-word for "mandate".

    I wouldn't hold my breath.

Things like "fines" are BS (with less credibility than an Alex Jones Bigfoot Sighting).

I will believe it when I see it.
    Until then? 'bored:

Well since the implementation has been put on hold by the Courts, I am guessing that army of snitches won't be needed anytime soon.

This is all made up crap.
The administration hasn’t talked about “snitches” or whistleblowers. All it has done is pass a regulation.

Then somebody has come along and said they don’t think there are enough enforcement officers. So that reporter has said that the only way they think it will work is if employees blow the whistle on their employers.

This doesn’t come from the administration at all. It’s hypothetical, made up.

It’s already been stayed in the federal appeals court pending trial. Biden is defying that ruling.

OSHA said it plans to check on compliance with the latter by doing spot-checks of businesses, and will also rely on complaints the agency receives about businesses that aren’t following the regulation.

“We will have our staff available and responsive to complaints, which is a No. 1 way we hear about problems in a workplace,” said Jim Frederick, the acting chief of OSHA, on a conference call with reporters. He also said the agency will focus on job sites “where workers need assistance to have a safe and healthy workplace.””

The potential side effects of the vaccine can induce life risking potentials for both women and men(particularly, we learned that women were suspectible to potential hert conditions from the Astra(mainly UK) vaccine for example.)

Look, I hate the incontinent old bastard as much as the next guy, but the OSHA rule wasn't even scheduled to take effect until January, and I haven't seen any indications that Let's Go Brandon intends to ignore the Fifth Circuit's stay. The CBS News article (Whistleblowers to play key role in enforcing Biden vaccine rule - CBS News) that appears to be the basis for this reporting even notes "Should the regulation survive its legal challenges, though..." and only cites an administration official on a conference call without specifying when that call took place. It's entirely possible that the call happened prior to the Fifth Circuit's stay.

I think the reporter, and perhaps the OSHA acting chief, are slimy as Joe-Biden-groping-little-girls, but I'm prepared to hold off on declaring open season on OSHA inspectors until we see what happens with the courts, and whether they abide by the rulings they don't like.

Biden will ultimately back down if the court rules against him. In the meantime he’s pressuring companies to compel as many vaccinations as possible in the interim. He’s hoping companies will still carry it out in the fear that the courts will uphold it and leave them no time to then comply if they hold out now.

I agree, and I think it's slimy on the part of the incontinent old groper-of-little-girls, and cowardly on the part of companies that are caving to the pressure.

Like I said, Nero Biden. He's incompetent,he has no policy but he will use the pulpit of the Presidency in ways that are an ACTUAL abuse of power. Can you imagine if Trump tried to bully democrat-owned businesses or democrat ciites to say lower prices for conservative shoppers or something?

Biden hasn't been a good president, but the vaccine mandate is one of the things that has made him a bad president. He gets blamed for everything bad that happens by partisans just like all presidents often do, even Trump when he was in office, but the vaccine mandate rests squarely on Biden's shoulders. I have no doubt that his intentions were good, and it's beyond question that the vaccine will help protect the people who've taken it whether by choice or because they didn't want to lose their job, but it should have never been mandated by the government for anyone who doesn't work directly for the government. Let private employers decide for themselves.

If the vaccines actually prevented infection, I might feel differently about the mandate. But they don't, so it should not be forced by the government.
