I'm gonna go out on a limb and speculate that Mueller's investigation wasn't limited to evidence in the public domain.

Mueller and the investigative team needed to be castigated for keeping those people on the investigative team that were part of the original conspiracy to frame the President.This resulted in those people with conflicts to be removed from the investigative team. This is not obstruction, it's self defense. Mueller was corrupt, but he was made to understand that we the people would not tolerate a coup.

See whatever you like. The point remains that an investigation of the Trump campaign was justified.

 

In my opinion this investigation was done for all the right reasons. With the insurgence of the Russian Mob here in America which is now tightly aligned with Putin’s murderous dictatorship we are in a dangerous era. This is different from Cold War days when it was a Soviet vs US spy war. This is new territory and must be taken seriously. The reason Trump and his campaign were put under the spotlight is because many of our top counterespionage agents started to notice that many of their subjects were found to be associated with some of Trumps campaign members. Felix Sater had an office right next to Trump on 6th Ave. Papadopolous was being groomed by some Russia crooks and was being monitored by US intel. I for one am glad that our DOJ and intel services put the spotlight on this operation and put the kabosh on it.

 

It wouldn't be very thorough if it's limited to what we already know.

Trump has not been charged with talking to Russians illegally either. However I am glad that this investigation took place as it is pretty obvious that Russian Crooks and spies were trying to gain access to high level government officials and political action groups like NRA. Good for our DOJ, FBI and intel agencies. I would love to read what their findings are and see some action taken in order to thwart their actions.

 

They never looked at the Clinton campaign. It was an attempt at a partisan hack job.

 

We don't know what Mueller found yet. All we have is an opinion by Barr.

The way this is supposed to work was demonstrated with the Watergate investigation of Nixon.

A special prosecutor carried out the investigation, reporting to the AG. When he was done, he gave the results to his "boss" - the AG. The AG, WITHOUT COMMENT, gave the material to the only body we have that is chartered with the right to take action against the president - CONGRESS.

That has not happened yet.

With Clinton, again the results of the special prosecutor were handed to CONGRESS.

With Barr, Barr has stated that the AG can not take legal action against a sitting president. He knows that the only action that can be taken would be taken by CONGRESS - and that action could include many alternatives, based on what was found.


We won't know what Mueller found until it makes its way to an entity that disseminates it. And, Congress won't be able to take action on this Russia issue until they get the results of that investigation.

 

Yes, and we need to deal effectively with the Russians planting a lot of fake news stories, hacking private emails, attempts to attack our voting machine, etc.

 

What has the Trump DoJ been doing?

 

The way these elections have gone lately, it is very easy for political crooks from either side to steal the presidency by getting to a few crooked county officials in key states. We need to standardize our voting systems and make sure there is a verifiable paper trail on all votes cast. When leaving the voting booth, we should have a receipt like you get when you put cash in an atm. Our elections have become a fiasco.

 

It is hilarious how lefties are against foreigners participating in our elections yet they want illegal aliens to vote.....hmmmm, funny that.

 

Lefties are only concerned with laws they can benefit from. Illegal aliens is a good example.
