My point is you are getting the bare minimum at H&R Block.

. Well I do my own taxes, so not sure how H&R is, but so? People get what they can afford. Not every CPA is equal, just like every lawyer, doctor, mechanic, teacher etc. some are better skilled and can command a higher wage. Why do you fault those people for earning there value? Are you suggesting they should charge everyone the same no matter their skill?

You asked a question there is no answer to. You want those who pay no taxes, or even profit with the EIC to get additional tax cuts. Sorry if I had point out your ignorance.

Funny that you call the tax code "tricks" when they are following the rules. Do you take all deductions and pay the tax required per the code? Are you tricking the system?

What is ironic here, is that Obama gave back to the people using debt through a program called the stimulus and its to try to start the economic engine. It was mildly successful considering the cost.

Trump gives back to the people through a tax break, whose cost isn't even realized, and the economy takes off like a rocket. And you are through a fit?

As far as taxes... yes everybody deserves a break. We pay far too many taxes for far too few services. Why would you oppose letting ourselve keep more of our earned income? Or is it just those you are envious of?

It is like anything else, a Jack leg doesn't know what a professional does. You don't know all the loop holes that a professional accountant who does it everyday for living does.

Effective tax is often much different than assumed tax — except the poor don’t have teams of legal representatives combing through for every loophole in the system. Tax Trumps advisor — Kusher — as an example.

And yes, I would say it’s greed if group A (who has food insecurity) receives less “stimulus” because group B (who owns numerous homes and an offshore account) received a higher percentage of said “stimulus”.

It's hard to cut taxes on people who don't pay taxes.

Envious of people that accumulated so much wealth they are assisting in writing laws to manipulate the system to shift the tax burden to other groups? Envious isn’t the word I would use.

And please show me where I am “throwing a fit”, semantics make you look petty and unwilling to have a discussion. The economy has been slowly improving since Obama took office - as has the GDP and stock market - economists are not so sure that Trumps tax cuts to the wealthiest have had much effect on the economy or even if it had any. It did grow the deficit however.

Like Trumps advisor — Kushner, right?
But the 90% pay plenty in other taxes, by some measures they pay more than the 1% as a percentage of their income.

Anybody that doubts Trumps presidency, simply by being business friendly and instilling investment confidence, as well as the tax cuts that are clearly trickling down, have not been effective to motivate the economy has their head in the sand up to their ankles.

We are talking about income tax at the federal level, because that is what was cut.

TARP that saved the financial institutions was signed into law by President G.W. Bush not Senator Obama.

But there's even more that nobody wants to admit or mention.

What you are talking about is the percentage of their income? And state and local taxes not federal taxes. Moreover things like sales tax, which can be controlled by how much one spends, not anything an account can do.

Trickle down does not work as seen by the concentration of wealth in the US — the tax cuts stole from the taxpayer to enrich the wealthy few.

I don’t know how to explain percentage of their income any differently — it’s fairly self explanatory
Sales tax impacts less wealthy Americans more because it is a larger expenditure or their overall budget. Accountants come in on pass through earnings, dividends, capitol gains, depreciation, and the mortgage interest deduction which is most beneficial at $1mm.

it's sad that Trump tried to call his MEGA Corporate Tax Cut deal a middle class tax cut deal in the first place - even sadder that some republicans fell for it

    Total garbage.

The rich are not rich because they save. You couldn't possibly say something more ignorant if you tried. The rich are rich because they spend in the form of investing.

You are showing just how much reality escapes the left.

I get they pay a greater percentage of their income, they make less: I get that sales tax does. But that’s not something trump controls, or the feds...there is no federal sales tax. Moreover, it’s totally controllable by how much one consumes. I find with a lower sales tax too though. But who’s paying more taxes? But if I make a million and pay 3 percent of my income on sales tax, it’s srill more that I am paying the IG someone pays 14 percent of 40k

Strawman — try again with some integrity this time. At least you are true to your user name.

The rich are wealth through various methods — not all of them involve investing. Generational wealth is one example. Reality is that three men have as much wealth as 150 million Americans combined. Why do these individuals need a tax break — even after more than 400 millionaires tell Congress: Don’t cut our taxes

What we "got" was a tax cut for corporations that was supposed to generate "millions of jobs" but in reality resulted in nothing but massive stock buybacks to benefit the stockholders' share prices. What we "got" was a ballooning, out of control deficit from the party that spent the previous 8 years while Obama in office crying that the Democrats were fiscally irresponsible - nothing but self-serving hypocrisy. Now the Republicans want to pay for this huge deficit by stripping Americans of their Medicare and Social Security benefits. So let's get this straight - the wealthiest individuals and corporations get huge amounts of money, and that money is going to to come from lower and middle-class Americans by making it impossible for many to afford the healthcare they need to survive. The tax cut that the majority of Americans got was not only chump change, but thousands of times that amount will be taken out of their pockets through the changes McConnell has been talking about this past week. Yeah, that's a GREAT deal, huh?
