How do you know she was a "good career employee"? Do you think a State Department official should do everything they can to counter the President? Do you know what the State Department does?
Pay billions of dollars in cash to a terrorist country, get American service men killed and delete 30,000 emails.
I laughed so hard I almost puked when I read your post. It takes a lot of courage to believe that your part of the scam won't be uncovered. Thank God for the cloud. Proof of substance and dates/times will always be available with electronic communication devices.
Going by reports of her career. The fact she was rewarded through the years with 3 posts. Starting with George Bush, who by reports thought highly of her.
She was acting through State Department channels. Trump was operating through Rudy Giuliani. There was a conflict. Trump fired her.
Trump as President is in charge of foreign policy.. The State Department works under him not counter to it... So yes if you go against your boss you get fired.. Go ahead. Next time you go to work try to undermine your boss.. Let us know how it goes good luck.
Trump appears to have fired her based on what Giuliani was telling him...namely that she was blocking Rudy's investigation into Biden and the Crowdstrike Conspiracy theory. Pompeo may have been able to have blocked her firing. He did not. Ultimately, however, you are right. Trump has the right to fire her, just as Congress has the right to impeach him, convict him and throw him out of office. Trump has parameters regarding his powers in foreign policy, although much of that has been delegated away by Congress. He must act within the broad direction of Congress as expressed in their approval of treaties and their legislative functions - i.e. their ability to make law.
If the request of the boss is illegal, yes. Absolutely. It sure as ****ing ******** is the job of a government employee to not do things that may be illegal simply because they were told to.
I doubt it was done that directly. Trump probably never talked to her or told her to do anything illegal. They simply went around her via Giuliani & his friends. I remember her testifying that someone told her to "get along, go along." When they decided she wouldn't, Trump fired her.
Not at all. Government employees pledge to defend and uphold the Constitution. They have the right to refuse an illegal order. They might be temporarily fired over it, but there would then be an appeal route. They are not "employees at will."
Yovanovitch responded to the staffer saying she “would love to reconnect and looked forward to chatting.”
Perhaps they they know each other form somewhere previously. Perhaps they went to school together, or worked together at some point. Perhaps they were once lovers, or belonged to the same book club. Perhaps they were in the same bowling league. Perhaps they once went on a double date. Perhaps there is somethng between them so not nefarious nor related to anything. I think people are making a mountain out of completely flat ground in a effort to defend the xxxxbaggery of Trump.
WOW!! BOMBSHELL.... So ****ing what?? She had an acquaintance and wanted to catch up..... I know in Trump world, friendships are verboten, but in the real world, human connections are approved and appreciated... 3 hours later and still a nothing story... I found a better one... starting a thread
