What? It is rhetoric in the extreme to go back 150 years as a comparison to anything, and the last I saw the "indians" of the American west were armed.

    There is a huge difference.

Have you ever visited China? Ever been there? Try it, you won't like it because you would go to prison for the garbage you're posting here.

There were never 114 million American Indians in this country. Ever.

Christopher Columbus was not an American. Please, for future reference, don't quote sources from ignorant savages that don't know how to count past 10 before the firewater starts to kick in.

Of for freak's sake. Now you are alleging a continental wide disease based genocide for which there is not one shred of evidence.

Near you, there should be a library. Drop in. Get a book on the settlement of the Americas. You will discover that the greatest wipe out of the indigenous population occurred by the Spanish, followed by the French.

The settlement of what is now The US and Canada was considerably peaceful by comparison.

Do I agree, yes and no. Anyone can read that China is working its way into a world leader, their main focus is capital, or money, yet they doing this on the backs of their own indigenous and indigant people. Have we forgotten about Tienammen Sq. (spell?), not everyone is happy in China.

Let's not also forget that China is one of the more corrupt govt. The wealthy want to get out, the poor are suppressed, etc. There is little political freedom, et al. To top it all, the Chinese are engaged in state sponsered theft, industrial and defense theft. As they grow, pressure will build on them.

Now for the reality issue, China is not or even close to being invincible, there is no way they could possible engage us militarily. Another the US still out produces China. Finally, China is not liked or trusted by any of its major neighbors. For all intensive purposes, China stands alone.

Don't forget the Western tradition of military sexual slavery too.

The following excerpts are taken from an article headlined "App's 'Ravishing the Women of Conquered Europe' " at http://library.flawlesslogic.com/massrape.htm

    (Begin excerpts)
One of this century's greatest crimes, and probably one of the greatest crimes against women in history, was the mass rape of the conquered women of Europe after the Judeo-Communist victory there in 1945. The rapists were mainly Red Army soldiers, some of them non-White troops from the Far East and Central Asian Republics of the Soviet Union. But I am sorry to say that many of the rapists were men of our own race, and some were Americans. They were brutes no doubt, but they were permitted and encouraged to indulge their lower than bestial urges by official "Allied" policies which incited hatred particularly against the Germans, but also against those of other European nationalities which were then allied with Germany in an anti-Communist bloc. One cannot contemplate this great mass orgy of rape, gang rape, and sexual slavery of innocent women and little girls without revulsion. It would be easy for you to toss this newsletter aside and pickup more pleasant or amusing reading. But if you want to know the truth about one of the darkest secrets of our present establishment, a horrible crime against women about which the Politically Correct feminists are strangely silent, then I urge you to read on.

......A serviceman wrote to Time magazine for November 12, 1945 "Many a sane American family would recoil in horror if they knew how 'Our Boys' conduct themselves, with such complete callousness in human relationships over here." An army sergeant wrote "Our own Army and the British Army ... have done their share of looting and raping ... This offensive attitude among our troops is not at all general, but the percentage is large enough to have given our Army a pretty black name, and we too are considered an army of rapists."

An Italian survivor of American bombing states that Black American troops, stationed in Naples, were allowed by their superiors free access to poor, hungry, and humiliated Italian women. The result of this interracial rape and sexual slavery was the production of a generation of pitiable mixed-race children, a legacy of the brutal conqueror.

According to an AP dispatch of September 12, 1945, entitled "German- American Marriages Forbidden", the Franklin Roosevelt government instructed its soldiers that marriage with the inferior Germans was absolutely forbidden, but those having illegitimate children by German women, whose husbands and boyfriends were conveniently dead or held as prisoners or slave laborers, could count on allowance money. And, according to Time magazine of September 17, 1945, the government provided these soldiers with an estimated 50 million condoms per month, and graphically instructed them as to their use. For all practical purposes, our soldiers were being told: "Teach these Germans a lesson -- and have a wonderful time!" Such were the great crusaders who brought "democracy" to Europe.

For the Americans and British, open rape was not as common as among the Soviet troops. The Soviets simply raped any female from eight years up and if a German man or woman killed a Russian soldier for anything, including rape, 50 Germans were killed for each incident, as reported in Time magazine, June 11, 1945. But for most of our boys, having that "wonderful time" depended a great deal on the "cooperation" of the German and Austrian women. From the starving and the homeless, of course, sexual "cooperation" could be bought for a few pennies or a mouthful of food. I don't think we ought to dignify this arrangement with any other than its true name of sexual slavery.

The Christian Century for December 5, 1945 reported "the American provost marshal, Lieutenant Colonel Gerald F. Beane, said that rape presents no problem for the military police because a bit of food, a bar of chocolate, or a bar of soap seem to make rape unnecessary. Think that over, if you want to understand the situation in Germany." The Weekly Review of London, for October 25, 1945, described it thus: "Young girls, unattached, wander about and freely offer themselves for food or bed ... very simply, they have one thing left to sell, and they sell it ... as a way of dying it may be worse than starvation, but it will put off dying for months -- or even years."

Dr. George N. Shuster, president of Hunter College, wrote in the Catholic Digest of December 1945 after a visit to the American Zone of occupation, "You have said it all when you say that Europe is now a place where woman has lost her perennial fight for decency because the indecent alone live." By official policy, the Allies created conditions in which the only German mothers who could keep their young children alive were those who themselves or whose sisters became mistresses of the occupying troops. Our own officials admittedly brought the Germans down to a total daily food intake less than that of an American breakfast, a level which leads to slow but sure death unless relieved.

According to testimony given in the United States Senate on July 17, 1945, when the colonial French troops under Eisenhower's command, presumably mostly Africans, entered the German city of Stuttgart, they herded German women into the subways and raped some two thousand of them. In Stuttgart alone, troops under Eisenhower's command raped more women in one week than troops under German command raped in all of France for four entire years. In fact, of all the major belligerents in World War II, the German troops had by far the smallest record of rape and looting. The German army's incidence of rape in all of Germany's occupied territories was even lower than that of American troops stationed on American soil!

According to the International News Service in London, January 31, 1946, when American soldier's wives were brought to Germany, they were given special authorization to wear military uniforms because "the GIs did not want their wives mistaken for Fraeuleins by other occupation troops." A writer for the New York World Telegram January 21, 1945 stated "Americans look on the German women as loot, just like cameras and Lugers." Dr. G. Stewart, in a health statement submitted to General Eisenhower, reported that in the first six months of American occupation, venereal disease jumped to twenty times its former level in Germany.

I want you imagine an orgy of rape like this happening in your country, in your neighborhood, to your family, to your wife, your sister, your daughter. I want you to imagine what it would feel like to be totally powerless to stop it from happening, completely unable to bring the criminals to justice. And I want to ask you, were there ever any "war crimes" or "hate crimes" trials of these butchers and rapists and inciters to butchery and rape? We in America are very good at raining "smart bombs" on our adversaries, and in violently enforcing the dictates of the United Nations on faraway peoples that our press have vilified. But we have really been very insulated from the horrors of mass warfare on our own territory.

Churchill said to the Germans in January, 1945, "We Allies are no monsters. This, at least, I can say, on behalf of the United Nations, to Germany ... Peace, though based on unconditional surrender, will bring to Germany and Japan immense and immediate alleviation of suffering and agony."

Against that false claim the late Dr. Austin App proclaimed the truth: Those Allies who were "no monsters" literally raped more European women than had ever before been raped in the history of the world. They put Germany on a starvation-level diet. Under direct orders from Dwight Eisenhower, they killed more than a million German POWs. They looted 12 million people of their homes, goods, food, and even clothes and drove them from their homelands. They took one-fourth of their farmland, they took their ships and their factories and their farm implements and then told them to live by farming. They abused and starved to death more German babies than there ever were Jews in Germany. They raped and debauched hundreds of thousands of German, Austrian, and Hungarian girls and women from eight to eighty. They brought to their death five times as many Germans in one year of peace as died during five years of war. Yes, yes, of course, these men of the United Nations, these men of the New World Order are no monsters.

Quite apart from any ethnic or ideological considerations, World War II was a war between, on the one side, the elitists who created Communism as a way-station on the road to their New World Order; and on the other, those who opposed that New World Order. It is a tragedy of millennial proportions that America and Britain were induced to fight on the side of Communism and Communism's masters. (End excerpts)

I am glad that the lion finally wakes up, starts roaring and stops behaving like a mouse. If the US also behaves like our friend Pollycy, it will henceforth adopt an aggressive policy of threatening others instead of propagating the disinformation of the so-called China threat and pretending to be threatened by others.

I have created a new thread for discussion on http://www.politicalforum.com/warfare-military/216976-american-threat-agenda.html

Hope to see you there with your boastful threatening.

    Uighurs , Tibetans ?

"Turkey's prime minister has described ethnic violence in China's Xinjiang region as "a kind of genocide".

This was done partly for economic development but also admittedly to stabilize the population by enticing Han Chinese migrants to the region which has historically sought independence from China (through various Turkestan movements) and is majority ethnic Uighur (approximately 90 percent in the 1940s to 45 percent today"

The mere fact that you have to go back nearly half a century for an example of US inhumanity kind of defeats your argument. Claims made some 70 years ago about a small number of soldiers solidifies the image that the US is squeaky clean.

Try something a little more modern? Maybe in the last say, twenty years?

And I just don't understand how dragging up ancient incidents about US soldiers has anything to do with China and its war policies or even begins to compare to the way people are treated DAILY in that country...

    It makes absolutely no sense.....

"The first pressing issue facing us is living space. This is the biggest focus of the revitalization of the Chinese race. In my last speech, I said that the fight over basic living resources (including land and ocean) is the source of the vast majority of wars in history. This may change in the information age, but not fundamentally. Our per capita resources are much less than those of Germany's back then. In addition, economic development in the last twenty-plus years had a negative impact, and climates are rapidly changing for the worse. Our resources are in very short supply. The environment is severely polluted, especially that of soil, water, and air. Not only our ability to sustain and develop our race, but even its survival is gravely threatened, to a degree much greater than faced Germany back then Anybody who has been to Western countries knows that their living space is much better than ours. They have forests alongside the highways, while we hardly have any trees by our streets. Their sky is often blue with white clouds, while our sky is covered with a layer of dark haze. Their tap water is clean enough for drinking, while even our ground water is so polluted that it can't be drunk without filtering. They have few people in the streets, and two or three people can occupy a small residential building; in contrast our streets are always crawling with people, and several people have to share one room.

Many years ago, there was a book titled Yellow Catastrophes. It said that, due to our following the American style of consumption, our limited resources would no longer support the population and society would collapse once our population reaches 1.3 billion. Now our population has already exceeded this limit, and we are now relying on imports to sustain our nation. It's not that we haven't paid attention to this issue. The Ministry of Land Resources is specialized in this issue. But we must understand that the term 'living space' (lebenstraum) is too closely related to Nazi Germany.

The reason we don't want to discuss this too openly is to avoid the West's association of us with Nazi Germany, which could in turn reinforce the view that China is a threat. Therefore, in our emphasis on He Xin's new theory, 'Human Rights are just living rights' we only talk about 'living' but not 'space' so as to avoid using the term 'living space.' From the perspective of history, the reason that China is faced with the issue of living space is because Western countries have developed ahead of Eastern countries. Western countries established colonies all around the world, therefore giving themselves an advantage on the issue of living space. To solve this problem, we must lead the Chinese people outside of China, so that they can develop outside of China.

Would the United States allow us to go out to gain new living space? First, if the United States is firm in blocking us, it is hard for us to do anything significant to Taiwan and some other countries! Second, even if we could snatch some land from Taiwan, Vietnam, India, or even Japan, how much more living space can we get? Very trivial! Only countries like the United States, Canada and Australia have the vast land to serve our need for mass colonization.

Therefore, solving the 'issue of America' is the key to solving all other issues. First, this makes it possible for us to have many people migrate there and even establish another Chinaunder the same leadership of the CCP. America was originally discovered by the ancestors of the yellow race, but Columbus gave credit to the White race. We the descendants of the Chinese nation are ENTITLED to the possession of the land! It is historical destiny that China and United States will come into unavoidable confrontation on a narrow path and fight. In the long run, the relationship of China and the United States is one of a life-and-death struggle. Of course, right now it is not the time to openly break up with them yet. Our reform and opening to the outside world still rely on their capital and technology. We still need America. Therefore, we must do everything we can to promote our relationship with America, learn from America in all aspects and use America as an example to reconstruct our country. Only by using special means to 'clean up' America will we be able to lead the Chinese people there. Only by using non-destructive weapons that can kill many people will we be able to reserve America for ourselves.

There has been rapid development of modern biological technology, and new bio weapons have been invented one after another. Of course we have not been idle; in the past years we have seized the opportunity to master weapons of this kind. We are capable of achieving our purpose of 'cleaning up' America all of a sudden. When Comrade Xiaoping was still with us, the Party Central Committee had the perspicacity to make the right decision not to develop aircraft carrier groups and focused instead on developing lethal weapons that can eliminate mass populations of the enemy country. Biological weapons are unprecedented in their ruthlessness, but if the Americans do not die then the Chinese have to die. If the Chinese people are strapped to the present land, a total societal collapse is bound to take place. According to the computations of the author of Yellow Peril, more than half of the Chinese will die, and that figure would be more than 800 million people! Just after the liberation, our yellow land supported nearly 500 million people, while today the official figure of the population is more than 1.3 billion. This yellow land has reached the limit of its capacity. One day, who know how soon it will come, the great collapse will occur any time and more than half of the population will have to go.

It is indeed brutal to kill one or two hundred million Americans. But that is the only path that will secure a Chinese century, a century in which the CCP leads the world. We, as revolutionary humanitarians, do not want deaths, But if history confronts us with a choice between deaths of Chinese and those of Americans, we'd have to pick the latter, as, for us, it is more important to safeguard the lives of the Chinese people and the life of our Party. The last problem I want to talk about is of firmly seizing the preparations for military battle. The central committee believes, as long as we resolve the United States problem at one blow, our domestic problems will all be readily solved. Therefore, our military battle preparation appears to aim at Taiwan, but in fact is aimed at the United States, and the preparation is far beyond the scope of attacking aircraft carriers or satellites. Marxism pointed out that violence is the midwife for the birth of the new society. Therefore war is the midwife for the birth of China's century."http://www.rense.com/general85/China%27sPlanToConquer.htm

What has the Falun Gong's fairy tale to do with the above question?

Your irrelevant answer once again reveals your confused mind. It reminds me of a Cantonese saying "The bull's head does not match the horse's mouth". When somebody asks for a cup of hot water, you serve him with cold water.

The fairy tale seems to have originated from "The Epoch Times" of the Falun Gong, the founder of which was originally a Chinese forest guard but now lives in luxury in the US.

"The Epoch Time", published both in electronic and printed form, is notorious for its unverified, sensentional stories and photos of alleged Chinese tortures of prisoners, organ harvesting and other fantastic crimes.

    Please refer to http://www.theepochtimes.com/news/5-8-8/31055.html

The website said the transcript of the speech was "believed" (Please note the quotes) to have been given by Mr. Chi Haotian, Minster of Defense and vice-chairman of China’s Central Military Commission. Readers should take note of this interesting statement (also note the quotes) in the website: "Independently verifying the authorship of the speech is not possible."

My dear friend, don't be so naive as to believe such a fairy tale, otherwise your mind will get more confused.

Do you think that the Chinese Minister was so stupid to mutter such rubbish in public and let the nonsense leak out to the Falun Gong so easily?

Finally, I wish to debunk the poster's incoherent, confused and illogical arguments in this thread. It's dangerous to mislead and confuse others with half-truths.

    1. My dear friend, what is the size of your bed? Do you require a space as large as the pyramid of the Pharaoh in the future?

No matter how much living space a man needs in his lifetime, in the end he only requires a space as big as a box or even an urn.

    2. Look at the size of the populations and areas of the city states of the Greeks and Romans when they first started building their empires. Similarly, look at the size of the populations and areas of Britain, Portugal, Spain and Holland when they first started building their global empires. Were their past populations larger than their present populations that they were running out of living space at that time?

    3. An accurate way of measuring the living space of a people is to look at its population density. The top ten countries with the highest population density are the following in descending order: Monaco, Singapore, Vatican City, the Maldives, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Nauru, Taiwan, Barbados and Malta.

Please refer to the article headlined "Top 10 Countries With High Population Density" at http://www.articlediary.com/article/top-10-countries-with-high-population-density-552.html

Even though those small countries are densely populated, do you think they will become expansionist and imperialist? Hence your notion of "living space" is all rubbish.

    4. Your harping on China's "living space" is absolute nonsense as it reveals your ignorance of China's shrinking working-age population in the next few decades. By that time, your great grandchildren may have the chance to emigrate to China to look for living space instead.

Following are excerpts from the article headlined "China’s one-child policy causing working-age population to shrink" at http://www.boston.com/news/world/as...icy_causing_working_age_population_to_shrink/

    (Begin excerpts)
SHANGHAI - For three decades, China’s one-child policy helped power this nation’s economic rise. With fewer mouths to feed, families saved. Poverty fell. Living standards improved.

But a social experiment that worked well in some respects is now threatening the country’s hard-won gains. China’s working-age population - the engine behind its prolific growth - will start shrinking within a few years.

Meanwhile, the ranks of elderly are projected to soar. By the middle of this century, fully a third of China’s population will be age 60 or older, compared with 26 percent in the United States. China’s projected 438 million senior citizens will outnumber the entire US population.

With fewer workers to support an aging society in need of care, China faces the same demographic squeeze confronting Western nations. The difference: China’s family-tinkering policy has accelerated a shift that the country is ill-prepared to manage and finance.

“The problem is the age wave is coming while China is still relatively poor,’’ said Richard Jackson of the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies. “China may be the first major country to grow old before it grows rich.’’

Advances in family planning, nutrition, and healthcare have resulted in longer life spans and fewer babies across much of the globe. The populations of developing regions such as Latin America and Asia are still much younger than those of US and European societies. But they’re aging much more quickly, lacking the time and resources to stitch together old-age social safety nets on par with those of rich, industrialized nations.....

Despite its dazzling economic growth, China is still a low-income country. Its per capita GDP in 2008 was just over $5,000, one-ninth that of the United States. Only about a third of China’s workforce is covered by a pension system; most of those covered are urbanites. Families save copiously, but it’s rarely enough to support them through old age. Average life expectancy is 73 years - up 32 years since the People’s Republic was founded in 1949.

For most Chinese, social security still means relying on extended family. But that bond is being strained by low birthrates and the migration of tens of millions of young people from the country to jobs in far-off manufacturing plants.

...To ward off social catastrophe, China’s central government has pledged to introduce a national pension system. The challenge will be crafting a plan that is generous enough to keep seniors from poverty but doesn’t unduly burden the young. Today in China there are 5.4 working-age adults for every elderly person, according to the Center for Strategic and International Studies. That ratio will plummet to 2.5 by 2030 and to 1.6 by 2050. 5. India is set to overtake China as the world's most populous nation by 2050. You should have posted a thread about India's "living space" instead.

    6. Tens of thousands of foreigners from Southeast Asia, North Korea and even faraway Africa are believed to be working in China illegally.

Please read the article headlined "China faces problem familiar to US: Flood of illegal workers" at http://www.boulderweekly.com/articl...-familiar-to-us-flood-of-illegal-workers.html

Hong Kong is also facing an influx of illegal foreign immigrants, many of which came from South Asian countries and Vietnam.

In addition, Filipino and Indonesian maids are eyeing permanent residency in Hong Kong.

Instead of China's alleged targeting its southern neighbours, it is China that has become the target of illegal immigrants from the south in search of "living space".

i'm curious last time i heard, US public school are taught in english, not in native american, spanish, or french. so whats the big deal if china want student to learn chinese as 1st language, offer tibetan as 2nd language?? now they have a choice to learn chinese, so in the future they have the skill to find a job in china. tibetan continue to blame chinese for not offer them good jobs, but yet they don't want to learn chinese?? when you goto an interview in US, do they interview you in english or your native tongue.

as for Uighurs, do a search on east turkestan islamic movement.

You dun make my toe laugh lah. Take this comparison. Do you mean that anybody could be considered "squeaky clean" and could be pardoned and escaped from the law even after he was found out to have committed a heinous crime 70 years ago?

According to your argument, do you mean that those frail, elderly 80-year-old Khmer Rouge leaders, who were blamed for 1.7 million deaths in Cambodia 40 years ago, could also be considered "squeaky clean"?

Please refer to the article headlined "Khmer Rouge leaders charged with genocide" at http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/khmer-rouge-leaders-charged-with-genocide-2081648.html

Take another example. Would you consider a 90-year-old former SS soldier, who committed 58 counts of murder for the killings of Jewish forced labourers in the final weeks of World War II (more than 60 years ago), "squeaky clean"?

Please read the article headlined "Ex-SS soldier, 90, charged over Nazi massacre" at http://www.france24.com/en/20091117...ged-over-nazi-massacre-germany-jews-holocaust

My Lai massacre took place on March 16th 1968. It happened about 43, not 70 years ago. Your argument makes absolutely no sense.....

No need for twenty years. Just look at the way certain groups of people are treated DAILY in the US....

Some Michigan State University students say race relations are strained on campus, and many African-American students feel they are victims of racial intimidation.

Several incidents have been reported in recent weeks, including a dorm resident finding the n-word written on the dry-erase board hanging on her door.

Students in a morning chemistry class also walked in to find a black doll hanging by a mock noose tied to the ceiling tiles.

Please read the article headlined "Black Students Facing Racial Intimidation On MSU Campus" at http://racismdaily.com/2011/10/04/black-students-facing-racial-intimidation-on-msu-campus/

Thus the image of the US is not "squeaky clean", as claimed by you.

"by senior Australian government ministers would be "very hard" in the near future.

He expressed concerns China was being regarded as an "old Soviet Union" that needed a military ring built around it.
He also made comparisons between China and Germany.
"Germany was to the world what China is today, a great manufacturer," he said.
"We fought two world wars over the status of Germany. We don't want to be fighting one over the status of China."
Mr Keating added he had always held the view that great states "needed strategic space".
"I think what we need is a region in which China can emerge but not dominate," he said."
