Seems as if his decision to hire a attorney to defend himself against the baseless slander was a good one. Actions have consequences libs, if you are going to tell tales about someone better make sure you can prove it. If the women were telling the truth then they should not have any worries.
All I can say is if these accusations turn out to be exaggerated or false claims, Cain will get the sympathy vote from Republicans and his nomination campaign will get a huge boost as it will convince many republicans that someone is really really scared of Herman Cain. So scared in fact that they are willing to engage in any slander possible to discredit him. Could be establishment republicans, but I'm more inclined to believe to the DNC is heavily involved in this behind the scenes. Gloria Alred doesn't just come out of left field for nothing. Someone paid her to do so. The fact is, that people are expecting Cain to run some flawless campaign where no gaffes take place, no scandals erupt, etc. The way I see it is this.. the more gaffes the man makes then that shows that he is a real human being and not just a pretty face with a scrubbed narrative, in short, he's a human being. All the other politicians except Ron Paul are just fakes with scrubbed pasts and "perfect" campaigns. Human beings are not so perfect, Cain feels "real" to me. Ron Paul is "real" but I vehemently disagree with too many of his policy positions to vote for him.
Possibly some organizations like Now, LaRaza etc are behind a lot of this. Other possibles might be Unions, Soros, litigation lawyers associations, politically motivated green movements etc. He scares the living crap out of Rove Republicans as well. God help them is someone who is not a Washington insider actually proves electable.
seriously doubt that Lifetime will make a movie about them now, or they will be on the View next week. Although I would not completely rule out the latter. Golgberg has been on the far side of sanity with only O'Donnel to keep her company for a while now.
Good find. I hate lying pieces of (*)(*)(*)(*) that falsely accuse, and they would deserve all that is coming to them if they are lying, which it appears they are. A good friend of mine was once a brilliant high school teacher. He was falsely accused of being inappropriate to a female student, who accused him of sexual misconduct because she was getting even for a bad grade. It went to trial, he was acquitted, but never to teach again. He ended up committing suicide.
Good guys still do win, and people are seeing the tactics right now. This is good. Those who so desperately wish for Cain's campaign to end are going to be sorely disappointed.
Looking at these two accusers the claims don't pass the smell test. One works for the treasury department in the tax department which Cain wants to completely reorganize. Also she has a history of filing frivolous suits of this type. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-31727_1...n-cain-sexual-harassment-accuser-goes-public/ The other ones financials resemble a soup sandwich and she is currently "between" jobs The timing itself is even suspicious. Considering that Cain has worked with thousands of women over the years if he really does have an issue it would certainly have came out before he started topping the polls and was considered a serious candidate.
This does seem fishy. Why wouldn't she come forward to tell her story with or without the other women?
She has been a Republican her whole life, remember? Probably very troubled by these false allegations against Mr. Cain, and seeking some spirtitual mosque and mat down time. Not too troubled to start some Republican bashing threads about Mr. Cain...but wounded nonetheless I'm sure.
I have a question. Did the NRA pay off 2 ladies or not? If so, why? If not, didn't they state they did?
False nuisance claims are paid off all the time. It's a numbers game. It's cheaper to sweep them away, then to fight them in court. This is why it happens so often. The NRA got rid if these two trouble makes for very little money. Unfortunately these women went on to extort money from others, but the law supports this at this time.
I have a question myself: Who is paying all these attorneys, and why are attorneys even involved? There is no possibility of legal action against Herman Cain, none at all. These women shouldn't need legal representation because there is never going to be any legal action taken against Cain. People do not hire lawyers just to hold press conferences and make true allegations against people. How are these broke women affording all these hotshot legal councils and exactly what legal council do they need? The only possibility of legal action that could come from this entire mess is a libel suit from Cain against the women involved. Honest people with honest allegations don't hire lawyers to protect them just to make a few statements at a press conference. Herman Cain cannot be sued for these allegations, the only thing at stake is his candidacy and his reputation. That is all that is at stake here. HE has reason to hire a lawyer, these women do not. So why all the legal hotshots coming out of the woodwork? They surely aren't working pro-bono for this stupidity. No one has been able to accurately answer this question and I have posed it over and over again.
Not sure. What I am sure of, is lot's of the giant companies/corporations/mega orgs, pay off, despite being completely innocent.
It's only been an hour since the story broke. The left wing spin machine has not gotten warmed up just yet.
I have been avoiding this topic like the plague, but what really makes me curious about the validity of this is that all of these allegations are coming out from only about his time at the NRA. That is really strange to me, if someone is such a serial sexual harasser enough to have this many accusers you would think that they would be spread out throughout his career. Take Bill Clinton for example, multiple over years. Not just many in a few. All I know is I am not big on Cain since he was part of the Federal Reserve.
Face facts Crafty. The Federal Reserve isn't going anywhere. It is a century old institution and is as necessary now as fiat currency. You can hate it if you want, protest against it if you must, but realize that the system is the system and if after 100 years it hasn't gone anywhere, it is not going to. He was part of the Kansas City Fed, the most conservative of the Fed branches and the one that most consistently stands for strong dollar policies and was against QE. On that score, Cain is exactly the kind of man we need. He knows the system and he was part of the of insurrectionist faction of that system. As far as that goes. There is no one better when it comes to Fed Policy. Cain will pursue a strong dollar. That is what is important.
Someone started this from a "slinging poo to see what sticks" stratagy. Nothing stuck so its time to move on. I would vote for Cain, but prefer Gingrich.
Turns out the head of the NRA worked in Mayor Dailey's office of something like that. I can't find a link yet.
