That your claim of CA being a third world state is utter BS.

Are you saying only CA have a homeless problem? Even Alabama have a homeless population. What a surprise.

And yet the red states are among the poorest and have to rely on CA and the rest of the west coast tax dollar to get by. Go figure.

There are some clear signs and indicators, for all who will see them, that it has become more like a Third World.

Multiple things that weren't there during the 70s.

The question is, at one point does it have to get until we call it Third World?
We've already seen whole shanty towns try to pop up, except the local authorities periodically keep trying to get rid of them.
A middle (mostly lower middle) class that has been hollowed out in the state. A remaining middle class whose income, despite having high level positions, doesn't go very far because of the high cost of housing and high cost of living... despite low level labor being cheap.

The prisons are starting to be overcrowded and looking like a Third World.

Oh, don't forget about gang violence, and crime rates in many areas.

That is the case in every state with large cities. If not for Philly, even Pittsburgh wouldn't be able to turn PA blue.

I can't believe that anyone would be so clueless as to actually quote Nunes. This slimy little sycophant is Trump's body servant. He ran to daddy with some juicy stuff from his intelligence committee to garner brownie points with daddy while throwing his committee and America under the bus. It's understandable Trumpets would find this little weasel so appealing. The guy has the intelligence of a rock and the morality of an amoeba.

That's what third world people do from shithole countries, they runaway from their problems.

What is the # 1 factor that made California a third world country ?

    Immigration legal and illegal.

What makes a country third world ?

Third world people and progressives experiments.

An economy dependent on just one industry in the Silicon Valley.

They use to manufacture planes, built ships, made steel, assembled cars, made tires, made Levis, exported full sea containers not empty containers in California.

Tesla is even moving all production of EV's to Reno Nevada.

Even ArmaLite has fled the state of California !!!

1/3 of all American welfare recipients are in California?

45% of the people are at or below the poverty line?

    What a cluster.

The trajectory is straight down. California will be Guatemala in 30 years. And they have no one to blame but their own liberals.

Hey Surfer Joe, remember Clark Foam ?

90% of all surfboards used Clark foam.

California business unfriendly regulations forced Clark Foam to go out of business.

California killed Clak Foam in December of 2005.
