Can you point to one real lie Trump told, with the exact quote and link?

"Whenever I ask Lefties to provide proof of one alleged Trump lie,"

This is an obvious and outright lie.

People point out Trump lies every single day.

"They’ll say that Trump said, “Obama was born in Kenya", and I will point out that in fact it was Obama’s literary agent who said that, in an autobiography. Trump then tweeted to Romney, “In debate, @MittRomney should ask Obama why autobiography states "born in Kenya, raised in Indonesia."

And you will be deliberatly and knowingly lying. These birther claims that you are offering as proof that Trump isn't lying were debunked long before Trump worked them, and you know it as well as everyone esle does.

Just last Thursday, Trump told his adoring mob that "Russia is not happy that Trump won"

This was three weeks after Vladimir Putin said the exact opposite on live television while Trump stood next to him.

This is only the latest and most obvious in the lengthly catalog.

But as a Trump supporters, you not only like being lied to, you're obviously prepared to spend considerable time trying to excuse being conned by trying to parse facts.

"This is an easy one. When Trump said, “I have nothing to do with Russia,” he was talking about the political collusion."

    That is a lie.

His very quote makes a liar out of you. Since when do you personally have deals and loans with agents of a foreign power?

We know that Trump continued to push a deal for a Trump Tower Moscow while he was a Presidential candidate. And since the people he was pushing it with have close business AND political ties to Vladimir Putin, your attempt to parse what Trump said fails.

Of course, you had to substitute your own interpretation of what Trump actually said in order to play this game.

Trump's comment was clear and unabigulous. Ironically, you carefully omitted the context in which he said it, an odd thing to do since a major theme in your rant is that Trump is quoted out of context.

Your reply carries no weight and is easily debunked.

Contrary to the false impression you are trying to create, Trump did achieve absolutely nothing in his summit with North Korea.

Not only are the North Koreans not ending their program, but they are working on solid fuel rockets and a new launching facility. Writing off facts because Ed Markey said them, doesn't mean they aren't facts.

What many people call lies are not lies at all. Google is a rotten search tool for political and historical things. Google itself churns up lies and leftist propaganda.

    Why bother?

You'll just make up some absurd rationalization for Trump.

Trump is a liar and a con man who thrives on cheap sensationalism.

There isn't any doubt about that. Trump's lies are legendary and ubiquitous.

This is a man who used to call up gossip columnists and make up a fake person to spread good things about Trump.

Only in your warped mind would this be anything other than direct written confirmation that Trump not only knew about the payoff to Daniels, but that he instructed Cohen to do it, and that Trump lied about it in public.

Agree with most of the above, but it's not a guess. If a) he said it during a planning stage, before the teachers were selected, not a lie. If b) he said it after the teachers were selected, and knew they had been selected, it's definitely a lie. If b), it's not a material lie, and just the same kind of marketing fluff we hear 10,000 times a day, but a lie nonetheless. I don't care enough to find out which. If others do have at it.

More interested in seeing material, harmful lies told for self-benefit with a specific intent to deceive that ended up having very significant costs. People who spend 5k on a "get rich in real estate" class, whether it's by Trump or anyone else, a TV ad for example, aren't a significant victim class unless the advice given caused them to lose much more money than that. Contrast that to someone who spends 200k and 4 years of opportunity cost on a women's studies degree (or several other "fields of study"), based on the gov-edu lie that "a college degree in anything from anywhere is worth the immense expense in $$ and opportunity costs," when that is not the case. Multiply that times millions of people scammed, and there's a significant victim class harmed by a material lie to real social detriment.

I saw that one in the media last week. It could technically be a lie, more likely it is confusion on facts or just typical political stumping exaggeration. I looked into it, and steel mills are reopening and building new plants, have been doing so for some time during the Trump Administration. Even if you want to call it a "lie," it's a harmless one. Far more telling is that the press report on those kinds of things (using ID for groceries) to the absolute exclusion of any meaningful policy statements or real achievements. There is no balance whatsoever, and that there is not is well-documented. The press is not doing its job in the Trump Administration, and after not doing its job in the other direction for 8 years of Obama, people in the center are fed up.

The difference of coverage of other politicians is that their constant misstatements, and anyone in front of cameras will make those, are made fun of as -gaffes-, not characterized as lies. For example, Obama's "we've been to 57(58?) states" gaffe was just that. It was an inaccurate statement, but not a lie, and I don't recall even the most hostile RW sources calling it a "lie." Maybe some did, I didn't see them. Hillary Clinton's statement to black audience about "carrying hot sauce in her purse" was laughed at as condescending pandering. Had Trump said that, it would go on the lie list, and that would be ridiculous. Partisans are full willing to call anything Trump says that isn't 100% accurate, or an opinion, or debatable, a lie, and that in itself is dishonest. I don't think it does the LW-Complex any favors among the American electorate either.

Voters see the weaponized press and don't like it. They don't like that there are these biased sites like politifact, fact check and snopes that have anointed themselves the guardians of facts, and then see them apply obvious slant in their estimation of what is a lie and what is not depending on the politician in question. I used to read politifact, no longer, and that's not a consequence of Trump, but of those sites being "infiltrated" by partisans with partisan intent long before the Trump Administration.

It is now 7 years since the birther-in-thief made the claim. Who are the investigators? Where are the investigators? When did they get back? And most of all...what unbelievable things did they find?

Circular logic bull crap, dude. "Trump isn't lying because Trump says he isn't lying," is pure circular crap. It's pathetic on your part. It's the saddest excuse I've seen here. And now that we know your name translates to Rob Troll - it explains your crap.

Of course it is a troll. Funny, because I remember a nearly identical thread a few weeks ago.

But of course, while this thread was running, yet another Trump lie was further uncovered. The statement from TrumpJr about the Tower meeting being about adoptions... Trump's lawyers said that Trump dictated it, and Trump himself admitted that it was about getting dirt on Hillary.

Notice how lately the "adoption" narrative excuse bull-**** fell to the wayside? It morphed into getting dirt on an opponent from a foreign adversary is acceptable.

LOL!! Someone who continues to use the pathetically ignorant term "russia-bots" also talks about parroting? That's rich. Just admit that you don't have anything intelligent to say and then move on.

    Self serving and weak response.

Obviously, when you "looked into it" you found noting to support Trump's false claim, so you tried to obfuscate it by making up some stuff about mistatements and gaffes.

You trotted out the old rigth wing favorite about Obama and 57 states (and added your own made up exaggeration for good measure) as proof.

In the course of Trump's hour and a half long schtick in Wilkes Barre last week, and in Ohio earlier, he threw out this stuff wholesale.

You had to reach back far into the Obama record to find one of your favorite gaffes.

Then you around and try and excuse Trump's behavior by creating the false equivalancy.

In fact, Trump uttered so many of these "gaffes" in just this one week, that it eclipsed eight years worth of them from almost any other elected official.

And watching you guys try and pretend that Trump's deliberate lies are fact, or that they are misstatments, or that Trump's critics are quoting them out of context is really really pathetic.

Lying ot you is part of Trump's act (and yes, it's not a Presidency, it's an act for the cable TV news cameras and celebrity gossip).

And you eat it up every time, and come back for more.

    Glad you noticed.

This is one of the reasons for this thread.

Right wingers and Trump supporters are running out of fallback positions.

At first we had blanket denial. And we had a concerted attempt to divert the narrative and go on about Obama and Clinton (something Trump is still doing).

Then we has specific denials, which had a nasty tendancy to blow up in the faces of the deniars.

    Now, we have the rationalizers.

This will go on for a while, as the broad but still blurred outline of Trump's Russian relationships and their decision to weaponize it in order to undermine America becomes more and more clear.

At some point, the very same people who are defending Trump on this thread will start pretending that they never supported him at all.

There are a variety of reasons that Trump fans do these things and accept his pathological lying but not all of them do it for the same reasons and some for a combination of reasons.
