Yep. That's exactly what is happening. You should be the one who should get real. Long-standing politicians are usually the ones who can stand on the fence.

Yes there was...we had been trying to work with the Chinese since Dec...the WHO was talking about it in Jan, remember they pushed the Chinese lie that it was transmitted person to person in Jan.

The team wasn't put together until it was in the USA...but the President and the CDC were working on it since Dec.

and the team was put together in Feb.

Also teh point of the WebMD link was to simply highlight that's it's not airboure..

While it can be transmitted through the air...ie coughing with droplets, that's not what airboure means

    OOOOOK

I need some proof of this claim...seem rather silly to me....but please prove your conspiracy theory that Dr. Fauci is so weak?

I don't like to use the term "lie". I think it's divisive and it shuts down conversations.

From my personal recollection I do not recall there was much public conversation about COVID but I do accept that CDC had been aware since they are the Agency typically on the front line for issues such as a Pandemic.

The wording matters, otherwise, pray tell, why did the administration insist in changing it???

And it's not only that. I have published in a long discussion with Chris, the CDC's admission that they changed the policy on who should be tested (curtailing testing for asymptomatic contacts of proven cases) directly due to pressure from the White House, including, the CDC official who leaked the information publicly named the White House officials exercising the pressure, most notoriously Dr. Scott Atlas, the covidiot loved by Trump who possesses no expertise in Virology and Epidemilogy (the man is a freaking radiologist) who is doing all he can to promote the boneheaded idea that the best strategy is to allow the virus to run rampant, for herd immunity (the covidiot probably doesn't even know how herd immunity is produced and how it works, which is way more complex than people who like to run with this cute concept assume). I won't post it again here as I have no time to locate the link again, but it's been posted once in my posting history which is sufficient. You can do a search if you want.

Just look at how he sometimes seems to agree with Trump in press briefings, while at other times it is clear that it is not his true opinion. And I've provided an example already. His grand rounds at Harvard Medical School is available on YouTube and was the object of a thread, here, one I started, so find it by searching my thread posting history, just listen to it and you'll see what I'm getting at.

There is nothing silly about long-standing politicians knowing very well what battles to pick and when to say white lies to preserve their position. It's actually the rule rather than the exception, but if you want to be naive and to ignore that this is what happens, be my guest.

I don't disagree there wasn't a lot of public convo...you have to recall the Dems were chasing their impeachment hoax and that took up a lot of news, instead of the real issues

But it was certainly out there.....Trump attempted to send CDC officials to China, but China would't allow it, we sent PPE there to try and contain it, the WHO and China were telling the world it wasn't transmitted person to person....heck the President discussed it in the State of the Union prior to his convo with Woodward.

What was changed? The Admin is the CDC...the CDC is part of the Admin..

Nothing was distorted...some wording was comprimised between officials within the HHS...so what?

Who should be tested is important...we don't need to test every single person in the nation. At least we are testing! The prior admin simply stopped testing when the H1N1 took place.

Dr. Atlas just joined the team in August...to help with reopening schools....he is a diagontist radiologist but also a professor neuroradiology

He has experts like Dr Fauci and Dr. Birx who are experts in Virology and Epidemilogy on the team already....the left apparently however, doesn't listen to those experts

Maybe he agrees because Trump is repeating what the experts tell him

Isn't your link, proof that your theory is incorrect?

They disagree at times...as they should...the Dr and the PResident have different jobs...but as the Doc has publicly stated they may disagree at time, but the PResidetn always listens

When a Trump yes man fronts the agency, “compromise” is what you get.

Trump does not listen to experts. He doesn’t like having them around, either.

Well that's likely true...compromise is a good thing, it's how our Govt has worked for decades, until the radical left took over the DNC and they became the party of "no"

That's not what the expert Dr. Fauci has said.

Now it might be true that the left has decided he is no longer an expert, but...the left often lives in a fantasy land

Dr. Atlas is a full blown idiot. Fauci criticized him during the Harvard grand rounds. The imbecile known as Atlas thinks that if we expose kids and youngsters we'll get herd immunity (does his push to reopen schools, restart college sports, and curb contact testing), forgetting that it's been clear lately that even young people can come out of this with heart damage, and forgetting that his naive idea of herd immunity doesn't work well in a country with such a large share of the population with underlying medical conditions (40% obese to start with) which was a point made by Fauci. Yeah, professor of neuroradiology, so what? What does a neuroradiologist know of epidemiology and virology? His comments in an op ed show how clueless he is. He was a Fox pundit and now Trump has elevated him to White House adviser and reportedly praises his advice over the infinitely more qualified Fauci.

Testing contacts is THE most important form of testing, the one that can actually contribute to decreasing the contagion. That's precisely what the covidiot Atlas wants to curtail.

Don't give me this crap about the previous administration, the But Obama defense because one, I'm not "the left", I'm not a Democrat and I'm under no obligation to defend Obama, and two, two wrongs don't make a right. As for the H1N1 outbreak, you might want to take a look at its infection fatality rate (hint = 0.02%) and the number of people who died in America, and compare that to the current outbreak of SARS-CoV-2. Gee!

I am glad the President has a team that don't always agree, and will argue, and be critical of one another....there are a lot of ideas..we don't need one solution

We have no idea about the numbers when it comes to H1N1 because the Biden/Obama Admin stopped testing.

I am glad we have an admin unwilling to do that...and let the science play out

Dear, the H1N1 had no more testing because there was a vaccine and the pandemic was over. But in any case, what part of the But Obama defense you don't understand as not applying to me, since I'm not a Democrat and I'm under no obligation to defend Obama, and besides, two wrongs don't make a right? You can use the But Obama defense as much as you want, but it won't change the fact that the Covid-19 fiasco is happening under TRUMP's watch.

Disagreement is good... when you have reputable scientists who are knowledgeable, while Atlas Scott is a clueless full-blown covidiot quack and has Trump's ears more than the knowledgeable and competent people.

Let the science play out? Since when has the Trump administration favored science? LOL

Did you see Trump berating a reporter for wearing a mask, and praising another one for not wearing one? Still, science, as per the 29 studies below, all done in real life situations with coronaviruses, does show that masks decrease the relative risk of infection (you can see that if by any chance you know how to read such a table).

Would it have made a difference ?

Trump has spent the next 6 months ( Feb - July ) denying the Virus was anything to worry about.

Trump have spent all his time mishandling the greatest threat to America in decades

Oh great. As long as in your area (how small is it) things "haven't been anything to be worried about" all is fine, huh? How short-sighed is this? Besides, you don't know if it really hasn't been anything to be worried about, given the recent reports of 20% of people who caught this virus, showing up with silent heart damage that down the road may lead to heart failure.

It's small but its a stop and plop for everyone going east or west of Colorado, and a very popular stop for folks headed in to Yellowstone. And now more than ever a VERY popular state to buy summer property among the Cali elite crowd.. You couldn't beg a better place to contract COVID-19, the plates you see the most are Colorado, Utah, California, Montana, Idaho, TEXAS, Oklahoma and lately Oregon..

Ya big macs and whoppers do the same thing ;)
