Almost all of the democratic leadership has condemned the violence by ANTIFA, and other groups. But its another talking point to say “defund the police”, when that polls VERY low in the Democratic Party, and the actual message has been bastardized to meet a political need. It was never “defund the police” it was “defund the police from buying military equipment to use against their citizens”. But I will give you this, the repubs are much better at their messaging, even when it isnt based in fact, or even reality

I guess your right the Progressive left thinks the Sacagawea, were so dumb they helped Lewis and Clark or maybe they were so weak they had to help. The implication therein, if I'm following you, is that we could redistribute some wealth to build better communities for those people to move out of the ghetto and into. Well, that has been done many many times. You've heard the term 'the projects', well that's government taking money from us citizens and using it to build homes for people who you would expect to be from a ghetto. What happens 99 times out of 100? The projects become the next ghetto. I'm sure you remember hurricanes Katrina. We all hear about evacuees and survivors being put up in hotels (and usually ruining them) but they don't stay there forever. I don't know if you know this or not but FEMA constructs massive trailer parks for the people displaced by storms. Well it didn't take long for those nice neat clean parks to turn into crime ridden, gang controlled, ghettos. Every time we think we can just throw money at the problem all we end up doing is growing it.

So while taking people out of a bad element and putting them into a good one might seem like a logical step it is by no means the first or last one needed in order to resolve the ghetto problem. There are two things we need to do before any others if we're ever going to make a lasting impact.

1. Control their numbers. Encourage and incentivize birth control, supply free contraceptives, provide free abortions. Discourage chain breeding by putting hard caps on per-child welfare payouts and other credits.
   
2. Break people free from this 'thug life' culture of criminality. A massive cultural push to purge through shame the idolization of ghetto mannerisms from movies, tv, music, sports. One should not feel proud roaming the streets slinging crack rock with their pants at their knees speaking a form of English barely more developed than toddler babble.

After the numbers are manageable and the motivations for being a piece of **** are gone we'll be in a better position to making meaningful and lasting changes.
