Chevy Volt explodes 3 weeks after crash test

    Yes, they can...but where diesel smolders, gasoline burns. Where diesel burns, gasoline EXPLODES. Where spilled diesel is a slip hazard, spilled gasoline is a fuel-air explosive. I suspect the fire in that J-Line tractor was electrical.

    It is NOT a coincidence that military vehicles run mostly on diesel fuel. (I recall the last ones with gas engines were the late-1970's M880's--which were nothing more than Dodge 3/4-ton 4WD pickups--and a few elderly GMC 5-tons retired around the early 80's.)

    Just park and charge it at least 150 feet from your home, in a wide open area with nothing flammable around it.
