Chicago releases dash-cam video of fatal shooting after cop charged with murder

It appears Emanuel is throwing Anita Alvarez under the bus. So to Axelrod. This will definitely affect Tiny Dancer' next ambition.

They don't like questions about how they helped Rahm win. That puts the jacket on them. And they don't want to wear the jacket.

So they're stitching one up for Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez, who charged Van Dyke with murder the other day.

They want Alvarez to wear the jacket for it all.

Rahm seems to be throwing her under his bus, but he doesn't want his fingerprints on her. So his ally, David Axelrod, threw her under.

Axelrod is a Rahm pal, but for years he was also the mouthpiece for former Mayor Richard Daley, and was the top political and media strategist for Obama. It's a Chicago thing.

"Why did it take a year to indict a CPD officer who shot a kid 16 times?" Axelrod tweeted Tuesday night. "Would it have happened today if judge hadn't ordered video release?"

That puts it on Alvarez. Does she deserve it?

He surrendered and submitted to the arrest. Had he come out and acted in a threatening manner we woe be reading about his demise this morning.

After he killed one cop and wounded two others...as well as shooting a whole bunch of other people.

But the cops managed to subdue this guy without killing him but you claim they couldn't subdue a kid with a three inch knife?

This is really the best you can come up with to justify a police involved homicide. The suspect was angling away from the officers, but did not show any intention of leaving the street. Additionally, the officer claimed that the suspect lunged at him with the knife. The video clearly shows that was a lie.

As far as your hypothetical, that he could have sprinted for the bushes, he could have just as easily surrendered. Officers can not use deadly force based on what a suspect might have done. Absence an overt act on the part of the suspect, deadly force is not necessitated. Refusal to stop, or drop the knife, is not a overt act, and does not pose an imnent threat to the officers. Therefore deadly force was not justified.

So, what is going on with the black drug culture? What is the black race going to do about it? The 'kid' was on PCP and had been breaking into trucks in a lot and brandishing a knife while confronting the cops which he wouldn't put down. The cop is charged with first degree murder which means he won't go to jail. All you need is reasonable doubt for that.

 

When did he confront cops? Where you getting this from? Every culture has problems, the white culture has a race problem. This probably has something to do with generations of parents teaching their kids racism.

They didn't have to subdue him he submitted to the arrest. Had he come out pointing the gun at them or had they had a shot at him he would be dead.

 

The video clearly shows him walking perpendicular in front of them then suddenly spinning around which could be a throwing motion with the knife. They don't have to wait till he throws it to open fire. The initial shoring was justified, the shots while on the ground problematic.

 

The post mortem showed that he was shot in the back twice. So no "spinning around which could be a throwing motion with the knife". The two bullets in the back came first
