The US's downfall began when we abandoned our American republicanism and began incrementally adopting those failed and authoritarian modes of European government. And it's not like Europe's corruption and avarice are past them, no, they are still trying their best to maintain hegemony over Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. Qaddafi was taken out of power by the globalist banking cartel because he wanted to get Africa on a gold standard, and the bankers in London and Paris certainly weren't going to have that.
Well the US most certainly needs to keep up constant inflection of its policies and practice, but the Chinese govt is hardly the only to be passing moral judgement. That being said, the US and its people are not "morally bankrupt", speak for yourself on that.

There are a lot of foreign voyours posting here who suffer from penis envy and fundamentally hate the United States. They cheer for our downfall almost as much as that half Kenyan (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) in the White House. I haven't suggested an alternate, in fact these transitions are never planned; they simply happen due to a set of circumstances. The UK didn't want to lose its hegemony to the US, it happened due to two world wars and an evolving attitude towards Empires. There is no jealously, I wouldn't want my country to have hegemony; it seems like a poisen challis to me.
I can't say that I feel any threat from China. The West's realtionship with them in symbiotic, they make stuff that we buy and we make stuff that they buy. China relies on the strong American/European economies, they should at least wait another 40-50 years so they have completely stolen our strong economies then preach de-Americanizing/Westernizing.

This is a weak bid to takeover as the worlds currency. But worldwide criticism on more than just our military foreign policy is likely to erode our economic credibility. Loss of confidence is one of those things that seems safe to ignore, until all of the sudden you lose your voice.
