    I remember when I learned this fact and how it blew my mind that the moon has an aspect that always faces earth. It's pretty easy to confirm it by looking at every photo ever taken of the moon from Earth. In any case, it's dark to us but not dark.

    It would be funny as hell, if the US conned the old USSR into believing we had beat them to the moon, while we never set one foot on it!! If so, then we were able to pull off the biggest scam in modern history, and made the soviets believe it!! ha ha ha

    Doesn't say much for those russians back then, does it? Now, I just doubt that the USSR just accepted our story, taking our word for it, but had the means to verify that we did go to the moon. I just don't think we could have run a confidence game on the USSR, and pulled the wool over their eyes. The russians are smarter than that. Right? ha ha

    This race to the moon was purely politically driven, and part of a cold war against a nation that had screwed up and bought into communism, and then suffered under the psychopath named Stalin, who killed so many of his own people, in the interest of his own power. Russia still suffers from the image Stalin created for russians, in so far as the rest of the world is concerned.

    At least you guys finally came to your senses and joined the civilized world again. I always figured the russians would get their sh*t together one day, given they are a decent people and would get their christianity back, russian orthodox.

    Now if only the US and western europe would come to their senses and realize russia is no longer communist and no longer interested in the communist revolution, after being hijacked by nefarious men like Stalin, ambitious men who didn't care for the russian people, just their own power and position.

    I wonder sometimes if you are actually russian, or a character created by anti russian forces who want us to think russia is malevolent and a danger. If the latter, it has been a successful disinfo campaign. ha ha ha

    So who took the picture?

    And further, why do pictures from the LRO exist that show the Apollo landing sights, tracks, etc?

    Just more conspiracy on the part of NASA and the US Government?

    Yes, I understand. The moon is tidally locked and only one side faces the Earth.

    I thought I would introduce a bit more humor into a laughable bit of comedy that this thread is made of.

    The fact the one side faces away at all times makes communication a bit of a challenge, without a constellation of relay satellites to bounce signals from.

    Yep, plenty of proof we were on the moon. I like Lunar LRR the best because it Is probably the most easily proven.

    That's why China apparently had to launch relay satellites for this mission as well if I remember correctly.
