The Chinese people right from the start believed that the virus was bio warfare from the US to destroy their economy. This is why they were singing their national anthem from their balcony. It was to show that they will never succumb to our pressure, no matter what we do to them. When certain nations began questioning our role in developing the virus, and China asked us to open our labs, Washington and its propaganda networks began flipping it and throwing the blame on China for not containing it.

As for Australia, they get their directives from Washington.

 

If China had a large fleet and it was sailing around the Caribbean to protect nations like Venezuela from being invaded, do you really think that Washington would have no problem with it? And yet we do have ports on the Atlantic and Pacific, so unlike China, we're not dependent on our exports going through the Caribbean for survival. It doesn't matter how one looks at it, our fleet in the S. China Seas is definitely a threat to China.

Look Poohbear, no one likes the Chinese system and I'm sure when the time is ripe and they have prospered enough, they will start loosening up. But they never will as long as Washington keeps provoking them.

to justify what they are doing. Without America maybe China would have claimed the

China is now a very successful trader and investor in Africa. Both the UK and US Capitalists have raped the continent every chance they have had and now China has gone in to have a look-see. When a number of African states first began looking to Communism as a possible solution to their post-colonial problems China was highly praised and has already had some positive input as far back as the mid-'70s with its construction of the TanZam Railway.

There are Capitalists and then there are Capitalists. The ones who are anti-Socialist/Communist are very foolish. If their ideology mistreats the population it is obvious that those people will seek out alternative ideologies.

 

American presence in the Pacific is not quite like Chinese presence.
You are giving moral equivalence to a liberal democratic state verses
a Totalitarian, Communist Empire.
People in Hong Kong were fine with the British - not with China today.
Taiwan is fine with America, but not with China.
And we can relate to South Korea but not North Korea.

Poohbear, you're living in a dream world. I'm going to give you a few examples of Washington's gifts to other countries. When Bulgaria the poorest nation in the EU, was installing the Russian pipeline to carry gas into Europe, the President of Bulgaria was paid a visit from either McCain or Biden- I don't recall which. The pipeline was stopped and 80 thousand men lost their jobs. Bulgaria also lost the billions it would have made every year on transit fees.

Of course the President of Bulgaria was kicked out, and five years later, they were begging Russia to reinstate the pipeline.

When China was negotiating a train route to carry its goods into Europe from the Greek port of Piraeus to Belgrade, which was something those countries needed badly for their economy, our NGO's began their regime change protests to overthrow the governments. It didn't matter to the US how corrupt the presidents we put in are, as long as they do our biddings.

Then there's Ukraine, where Nuland had protests and overthrew the elected president, so she could put in the mafia's and Nazis. Today Ukraine which was the wealthiest part of the Soviet Union, has one of the lowest standard of living in the world. And then of course there's the Philippines which could have been making money over the wealth in the S. China Seas, but was stopped from negotiating with China about 6 years ago by the US - and we could go on and on.

The rebels recognized they needed to protect him so apparently it wasn't
planned. Just the same that kid became a hero to the rebels.

The proof of Washington's success in domestic propaganda is that Americans ask, "Why do they hate us so much when we are just trying to help them?" I experienced this phenomenon first-hand in the Vietnam war. "Why are the 'Vietcong' killing us when we have come here to help them against Communism?"

It goes on and on. I suppose it comes from the U.S. spilling its guts in two world wars as "the good guys" and though the American soldier fought an extra mile to put down "the bad guys" in Europe the U.S. government has hence been playing the hero card and expecting the world to admire the sons, grandsons, and great-grandsons of the good guy Americans who have long passed away. Well, we can't blame today's dupped American soldier for believing the propaganda but that propaganda is generally only successful in a domestic capacity. Most of the outside world either has its eyes wide open or (in the case of former Soviet nations) are just now beginning to wake up.

That was rather snide - considering much of the above is fact .. Ghadaffi did threaten to mess with the petro dollar. Do you have a better theory for why they killed the guy ? - after all - he was supposed to be under out protection for agreeing to give up his WMD program ..

What part of that do you believe is a "conspiracy theory"? Jeannette is right, Ghadaffi did want to replace the petrodollar with a gold standard. So did Saddam Hussein. That is the reason the U.S. murdered both of them.
