And the hindus believe in their sacred scripture just as strongly as you do. Same with the Buddhists, or any religion that has a guide book. All of these believers are just like you, and just because your book is the bible doesn't make it more valid than theirs. You believe in a book written thousands of years ago, and by our own volition, your own authority, you accept it to be what it is said to be. As the other people do who have their own books.

Surely if god wanted to communicate to man, he would not have chosen such a medium in order to do that. And he didn't. If you cannot come in contact with the creator of the universe, directly, without having to subject yourself to the imperfection of man, who wrote all of these books, then you can be fooled, as the hindu can, and the muslim..

A real god would not have communicated to man his existence by books. He would do it all of the time, in the present moment. And being a direct experience, you could not question it, as any book written in ancient times begs to be questioned, especially when it reads like a fairy tale, and a very violent one at that.

Christ said an interesting thing, that is applicable here. He chided man, for searching and searching the scripture, in hopes of finding eternal life. But it isn't there, nor is salvation. Instead, that can only be discovered by a seeking within human consciousness itself, for that is alive, not dead like some book, and if it cannot be found there, it does not exist.

You would think if they knew the answer, they could answer basic questions.

If I had a child, I would not put a knife in the middle of the table in the open and tell the child to not to touch it. And then send in his older sibling to taunt and tease and push for the child to touch the knife. Because guess what, I should be smart enough to know, one day that child will touch the knife I place in plain site and then had him taunted into touching it.

    I have that much intelligence.

I was not rude to you in a PM reply, because that's not the type of person I am. I replied differently (still far from rude) in the forum pages because this is a debate forum. Did God bring all the fishes to Adam as well, must have been interesting to keep them alive long enough for him to name them. What of the creatures than did not yet exist...did he just make a list of up and coming things?
