And I'll bet you think that you are as pure as the driven snow, leftists always think it's the other guys fault.
That's what I was getting at - atheists are as rabid as any religionist, which I'm sure is what leads people to believe that atheism is just another religion in itself.
Something like wearing a clerical collar? That's usually all it takes for some jerk to start an argument.
Just what we needed....another persecution complex thread, this one however not only whines but then attacks Atheism....Good Job.
Oh, look, another atheist who wants to tell me what I can and what I can't post. Thanks for making my point for me.
Most of the whining about victim's status comes from Trump who has been claiming the system is rigged against him for 40 years. Even this past week he claimed Canada treated the US "very badly" over US shoe sales. Poor old liar doesn't know there are NO Canadian tariffs on US shoes. The other group that claims victim status is Evangelical Christians.
Why are you only asking this of Christians? Do you imagine the rest of us don’t face just as many people telling us what to say or how to vote? In my experience, most of those kind of statements are generically aimed at everyone rather than any particular grouping. Or do you think it’s only a problem when aimed at Christians and perfectly fine aimed at anyone else?
Case in point. Thanks for the confirmation. There's a saying if you can't take it, don't dish it out. It's obvious you can't take it, but always are dishing it out. Man up, take the same BS you dish out.
I don't remember how long I have been on this site but you have been an irritant for as long as I have been here, to everybody, not just me. But, it is your utmost confidence in your own righteousness that prevents you from thinking you have any culpability at all. If you don't like me that's fine but don't blame your arrogance on me.
I know how long you've been on this site. July 2, 2014. It says so, right under your name. You have been an irritant for as long as you've been here. You reap what you sow. A real Christian would know what that means. Especially a real clergy man. You are here starting thread after thread of complaining about being upset about atheists. All the while attacking anyone not you.
Well as I said, anyone can and will face people telling them what to think or do so why would you restrict the question at all? I can only think that you either think this is primarily or exclusively a problem for Christians or you don't think it matters (as much) when it happens to non-Christians. I'd suggest you're mistaken in either case but I accept there could be a third line of thinking you're following that I've overlooked.
My theory is that it's getting more commonplace and it has more to do with politics than religion. As a group atheists don't know a whole lot about Christianity, although they think they do. When they think about Christianity they either think Catholics = anti abortion, or fundamentalist Protestants = cosmic killjoys, with no middle of the road. I heard someone on TV say that if you supported Trump you were a Nazi. It seems to me that when atheists, (the leftist ones), think Christian they think Republican.
I think its a bit more complicated than that. I think Atheism is being artificially dragged along toward becoming the religion of State Worship, not becoming a religion itself. And it should be noted that theres still plenty of Atheists who reject the worship of anything and arent going along with the shenanigans.
Isn’t it terrible when people generalise large and diverse collections of individuals with singular negative stereotypes.
I just be me. I have check valves in my acoustic canals. I decide who I will listen to and who I utterly reject.
Which is Caesar worship, like in old Rome. Early Christians were asked to just burn a pinch of incense to Caesar acknowledging him as God. Today it depends on who Caesar is.
